06/18/07 vs. Angels: Craig Biggio recored hit #2,990 in the top of fifth inning. I'll be in Arlington this weeked with prime seats. Maybe I'll get to see some history!
I think they should let him do it at home. Seems fitting. Plus, the attendance might go up with people wanting to see and all.
I have seen virtually nada on the 3,000 in the nat'l press. Has there been and I've just missed it? If it's not out there then where are the 'stros' PR folks in getting this clean (as opposed to BB's HRs) benchmark into the popular, public 'domain'?
With 10 hits to go for the historic mark, Houstonist will be counting down as Craig Biggio marches towards his 3,000th hit. After this road trip the Astros are home for 11 games I believe. That is when he should break the record. Garner will sit him enough to insure he breaks the record in Houston.
I was at the game last night. I was hoping to see Biggio go 11 for 11. I hope you have better luck seeing him get 3000 than I did.
Is it the one where you peel the stickers off the front until it gets to 3,000 ? I washed mine and ruined it. All the numbers came off...
