    We have had 5 capable guards the past few years but the injuries really put us at a disadvantage last year. Its why we had so much trouble the first 2 games vs Memphis. We usually went 4 guards vs them and killed their press but last year we didn't have the bodies to play a lineup like that.

    The only concern i have is being too small at center
    Can Reggie Chaney hold up an entire season? always seems to be dragging an injury

    Does anyone know the deal with Kyrion Powell and his development? It sure was nice to have a guy like Josh Carlton last season.

    Powell is getting the reps and prepping to be a rotational player off the bench this season. He'll need to have a good showing for the next few months and avoid nagging injuries that's plagued him. He has stayed in good shape and added significant strength. Hes been working to get an opportunity

    Powell and Francis must show enough in practice or they would have been pushed out the door by now. You don't have scholarships tied up in guys not playing unless you anticipate good improvement soon.... especially with so many transfers. Sampson is an incredible judge of talent for what he wants to do.

    Been hearing some good things about Powell and his progress in the summer workouts so far in the last week. His confidence has grown a ton. His patience will pay off
