this is probably a lockable thread but who else was glad they're contributing members throughout the day? this was as busy as i've seen the board during a weekday in a long time.
What the hell are you talking about? If some of us didn't have the board we'd be dead within minutes. Contributing Member status is life insurance man.
after how much this board went through today, i feel good about contributing more just a few days ago. nice to have a server that can handle anything.
how long does it normally take from making a contribution until do you have your status changed to "contributing member"?
Random thought I had recently. It'd be more trouble than it's worth, probably, for Clutch and the other mods, but I was thinking of having different levels of contributing members. Kinda like "Gold Member" - I don't know... "Die-Hard Member" - who knows. Not like it's needed, but it'd be just to show who's given more to the site. That way they could get more appreciation or something and show they care more. I'm not saying I want it like that or that's it neccessary, just a thought I had...
So what your saying is the rich members get to show off? Kinda like pulling up in a Ford Pinto next to some guy in a Benz. The last thing we need around here is class envy.
That has nothing to do with it all. It's just the members who contribute more, it was JUST A RANDOM THOUGHT! haha..... Besides, it wouldn't be just the "rich" members contributing. Some people are stingy number one, and some "non-rich" people might just want to give more because they care about this site that much.
Doesn't mean they care more, just means they have a bigger pocket book. I can't afford to contribute nearly as much as some other users. (college student right now)
Ahhh. Bad idea, forget I ever brought it up. It's apparent everyone will look at it the way you and Faos have. Not at all saying y'all are wrong; I just didn't consider people would look at it like that.
