If you want Yao to recognize just 16 points against the Lakers I'm positive you'll recognize a 4 game exit for Houston.
The guy has only made it to 1 Rockets game since he's been injured. Mutumbo is out there on cruches to support his team. F T-mac.
HILARIOUS! I mean seriously. . . TMAC WOULD NEVER THROW HIS TEAMMATES UNDER THE BUS TO PRESERVE HIS REP. . . .oh . .wait. . he did. . . .That is hat right??? To constantly say your teammates were garbage and that was the reason you did not get out of the 1st round?? I'm not Antisonic but I guess I play him on the ClutchFans Jimmy also has to suck up ALOT OF PRIDE and accept what was best for the TEAM and not what is best for HIM Rocket River
Would someone fill me in on the "average teammate" line that is being tossed around in this thread? I've avoided the GARM for so long now I must have missed it.
Had the Rockets lost this series the same people defending Tracy would be saying how this is proof that the problem wasn't him. You can't have your cake and eat it too. I don't think it's a coincidence that the Rockets get past the first round without Tracy. And whoever was playing down the Trailblazers has got to be crazy. After watching this series, I can see why the Lakers fear them. Btw, 5 star thread.
One of the biggest myths in Rockets history. Tracy played well, but he scored below his season average in 10 of those 22 games and failed to score 16 points in 7 of those games. Overall he bumped his scoring average over the course of the streak by 0.5 ppg. There were 6 games that it would be fair to say he rose up and carried us to a victory. It's constantly lost that Yao played in the first 12 wins of the streak. Somehow, McGrady is given full credit for the entire thing as if Yao wasn't involved at all. Scolandry EXPLODED during this stretch, raising their game in a huge way. Rafer became good Rafer for the stretch as well, shooting a surprisingly good percentage. The TEAM rallied together and got 22 with collective effort. To say McGrady carried us to 22 is an insult to the rest of that roster.
Another TOF checking in. Good to see you! We were worried you guys had all slit your wrists last night. Somebody check on that italics guy!
Frankly, if I read this kind of post before this season, I would feel sick and think it's a cheap attack on a player. However, given all the drama this season, I kind of enjoy this post with some guilty pleasure. In short, T-mac almost single-handed costs us this season with all his teeny-weeny stuff. After that, he didn't miss any chance to throw his teammates under the bus. It is this band of players (Yao, Shane, Ron, Landry, Luis....) salvaged this season and turned it into a successful one so far. That's why I am so proud of them and root for them.
