With Artest in the mix I'd say my concerns are as follows. 1) Yao Ming's health 2) Tracy McGrady's health 3) Rafer Alston's health (i can't believe I just typed that) 4) Team Chemistry
I am concerned that we might kick too much ass. (sorry, I still haven't gotten over the initial excitement yet)
...that Boston signs Chuck Norris, cuz that the ONLY way they'll stop us on the road to the championship! I'm excited too
Agreed I just read the chronicle article w/ Scola and Yao and team chemistry is low on the concern totem pole for me. If it weren't for Artest being in a contract year, on the best team he's ever played on, and for a coach he has a mancrush over then maybe I'd be more worried.
i've wanted artest for too long. no concerns for me. he is exactly what this team needs, some attitude, aggression, and a big bulk of talent on both ends. also, i find ron artest hilarious on the court. i remember him sending kisses to the fans every time he got boo'ed after making a shot. lol
No Ron-Ron crazyness and this will be epic. We are able to b legit contenders in the toughest confrence and division usually with a star hurt, we can go 22 straight, we were about 2 games out of first place and now we add a superstar!!! im worried i'll have a heart attack b4 the season begins.
You forgot that he'll have to sign for less than 10M per year so we still have a chance at snagging a 2010 Free Agent!
Lets not forget Artest himself missed a big chunk of the season. His health isn't 100% guaranteed, either-- and I ain't even talking about mental health.
It's prob unrealistic to expect Yao and TMac to play the entire season. With that said I'm optimistically predicting TMac will play 72 games and Yao will play 76 games. More importantly both will be ready come playoff time.
