so i got this email from someone asking me about the book i am selling. and when it arrived in my yahoo email folder, there was the symbol present which represents an attachment, you know the little pin. anyways, i opened the email, and read it, and when i scroll down to the bottom to see what type of attachment he sent, there was no attachment. but instead, this comes out "The sender believes that this E-mail and any attachments were free of any harmful and malicious code or defects when sent. This message and its attachments could have been infected during transmission. By reading the message and opening any attachments, the recipient accepts full responsibility for taking protective and remedial action regarding the code or such defects. The sender is not liable for any loss or damage arising in any way from this message or its attachments.". i am not sure if i just got screwed over or not, i did not download the attachment because it wasnt there/i can't see it despite the symbol which represents it is present.... any help?

Many businesses attach that text or something similar to cover their butts. As the person what they sent, if anything. Sometimes I get that text itself as an attachment.
