All the text in IE that I'm not typing in myself all of the sudden became extremely small. I'm running Windows XP. How do I fix this?!?! Thanks.
Well since this is the place for Computer Problems... I'm trying to restore XP on my system with the Restore disk, but when I proceed with the restoring, a message comes up saying there was an error, then it says something about a txt file wouldn't load, then it says there was a problem and I should contact Symantech or whatever.
I have the same problem and i knew to do that, but for some reason it wont stay changed the the medium setting i want it on, how do i get it to stay there?
I think some sites will but in code that changes your settings (bastards). Just close your broswer then reopen it.
Well it doesnt happen everytime but it happens every once in awhile when i open my browser up, its just annoying that it wont stay on the setting i want it on all the time
the fonts also increase/decrease in size when you hold down ctrl and wheel up or down on your mouse. You're probably acidentally holding down control sometime when you scroll up or down on a page with the wheel. Also, this will only occur on web sites that use scalable fonts (all web sites should use scalable fonts). -- droxford
Are OSs made different for PCs and laptops? I mean if I had a laptop would I have to go buy a laptop version of XP or could I use the one that came with my PC?
99% of the time this happens it's because someone accidentally hit the Ctrl button while using the scroll wheel on their mouse. You can always just fix it by holding Ctrl and moving the scoll will up until it's the size you prefer.
yes as long as the one from your PC isnt a reinstall disk from someone like Dell or HP or someone like that.
After adjusting it to the desired size, make sure you close your browser via File->Close as opposed to clicking on the "X".
I switched over to firefox a few weeks ago and its good but I have some complaints/questions: 1. Is there anyway to make the buttons (esp. the forward and back ones) on the top tool bar larger? The default skin has them teeny tiny, just a few millimeters in size maybe. Whenever I try to click forward or back, I invariably end up clicking the "firefox help" button by mistake...annoying 2. I seem to have trouble with it crashing on pages that run a lot of java applets or flash/shockwave stuff. Not all the time, but enough to be annoying also.
Is it legal to take an OEM verson of Windows and install it on a different computer (even if it is only installed on one computer at a time)?
