ok, My Hard Disk for some reason was only putting out 2 Gigs and it is a 30 gig. I tried to partition it to create a logical drive but When I restart it It says "Operating System not found" I dont have the boot disk, I only have the restore CD. Any help would be greatly appreciated
If you tried partitioning your disk by using fdisk, then you've probably wiped out all of your data. If you were using PartitionMagic, then you should have been able to change partition sizes on-the-fly. Did you have anything on the hard drive before you started?
Sounds like you need a boot disk to start OR a Windows CD. Some systems will let you boot from the CD. From there you have to format the drive and then install the operating system. If you're only getting 2 gig out of your 30 gig drive then you've set up a partition that's only 2 gig OR the software you used to set the partition with is old and might be limited. What OS are you trying to install?
were you running windows 95a? Try using a boot disk to boot to c: . Let me know if it will come up . . . if so, we can go from there . . .
I had a few things on it the drive but nothing I cant live with out. I am trying to install Windows 98. I tried the CD restore and that gets me into DOS but I dont know what to run.
