If you don't agree with something thats fine, but it amazes me how people can agree totally with anything their party's stance is. If thats the case then there must only be two types of people out there.

Even if you don't agree with the moves Obama's making, whats your alternative? Move? Keep dissenting until your party is back in power?

Oh and I work for a living too.

My point exactly. One can commend a job well done without being a sycophant.

David Letterman is really good too.

Rumors are Letterman wants Jon Stewart to take over for him in 2010.

Cannot agree. Letterman has not aged well, becoming mean-spirited and more venomous than humorous. He can't hold a candle to Leno or Stewart.

What an embarassment. Administrator, please merge this thread with Cramer gets his arse handed to him by Stuart, which I obviously overlooked when I started this thread. I thought it odd at the time that no one was mentioning the Cramer/Stewart clash. I apologize. I should have looked more closely.

Should make it your signature. In case, some people don't know.

Yup, I completely agree. Liberals just blame Bush for everything, and call him slow, when in reality, he is just a deep thinker.

    Those people are called idiots.

Any person that agrees with 95 plus percent of their party's stance is totally insane...

The unbelievable irony, and sheer humor in this is anyone who watches Fox news calling out someone who watches Comedy Central.

I can't tell you which "news" outlet I get more laughs from.

    "V...V...Viacom!" Synergy strikes again?

This would be a good thing, as long as Letterman wants to retire / isn't being forced out, like Carson. I thought Stewart was great when he took over for Larry Sanders.

I watch both Cramer and Stewart, and find both of them informative and entertaining. Cramer is a very smart guy - he holds two Harvard degrees and as a former hedge fund manager, he made millions by being able to digest and analyze voluminous amounts of information. However, I take Cramer's side on this one.

I don't watch Mad Money to get stock picks. I watch it because of the insight and commentry Cramer provides at the Macro level. From Stewarts' interview, you could tell Stewart knew nothing about macroeconomics. He kept bouncing from one clip to the next to discredit the guy without any nexus to any particular issue or topic. One second he would be talking about the Bear Stearns missed call, the next about derivative securities, the next about short selling, the next about the Madoff scandel.

If you are dumb enough to trade based on the recommendations made on Mad Money, that is your choice and your risk. And if you are investing in individal stocks in the first place (and not index funds), that means you have some serious coin to play with. In that case, you should be doing your own diligence.

Stewart was basically putting the blame on Cramer for society's greed and stupidy. If you are buying CDs that are promising 15% returns annually, you should have only yourself to blame when the house comes crumbling down.

What does cramers two degrees have to do with him getting his ass kicked the other night? We know you are a stunch supporter, but people on both sides are agreeing he was totally creamed in that interview.
