Hey guys. So i bought Command and Conquer 4 the other day because i was a massive old school Command and Conquer fan... and when i started playing was like ahhhh where the hell is the base i'm meant to build etc etc. Needless to say i was extremely disappointed since it's absolutely nothing like the original. That's where my question comes in... I went hunting and managed to track down the original Command and Conquer (yesit came out in like 1995) I tried installing it but a problem came up and said the DirectX wasn't the one needed for the game. I know absolutely nothing about computers so was wondering if any of you guys know a way to get this fixed or if it's no luck at all because the game is so incredibly old... (i'm attempting to install on a laptop about 6 months old... tried to install on our old computer but the same problem occured)
Command and Conqure Red Alert 3 has similar game style to the original. You might try that. I think you can download it and the expansion fairly cheap.
