Yes.. National Geographic HD; USA Network HD; A&E HD; The History Channel HD; HGTV HD; The Food Network HD; and CNN HD.
I havent had a hiccup with TW / Comcast. Ive had the internet with them for as long as i can remember. just wish everything wasnt so damn expensive.
i haven't had any trouble either. lately though, i've been getting a snap, crackle, pop sound coming from the audio when i have it on an HD channel. i don't know if it's b/c of the weather. i've had to reset my box a couple of times to get rid of it.
Yeah I'm still waiting on them to "fix" my internet speed...one guy's been out, then a tech guy to fix the external lines, then someone else was supposed to check the lines again friday...and yet I'm still at the same crappy speed. One positive note...they haven't charged me for the service calls (prob cause the problem wasn't inside my apt) and they didn't charge me a processing fee for paying online. Still...I'm tempted to switch to DSL and when we move into a house down the line, we'll definitely be getting satellite I imagine.
when i signed up for TW i got a really nice package of HD channels and high speed net now im realizing that tv sucks, and i never watch it, except for sports so i want to downgrade my HDDVR package (that runs me about 70 a month) to something without HD that just has the only channels i would ever watch, discovery, abc, cbs, espn, fox but here's the kicker for me to downgrade my channel library from 300+ to 120 channels would cost me an EXTRA 10 dollars a month (LOL) and to downgrade my internet from kick-arse speed to snail speed would only save me 10 bucks a month (LOL x2) so basically, if i downgraded my services i'd be paying the same (possibly more) for even less functionality and quality hilarious im stuck with what i got til i finally move somewhere that allows satellites
i had that same problem, but it wasn't on a hd channel, it was on the rockets game. very annoying. comcast has one of the worst customer service. their internet is good, and tv is ok, but wow. once you have a problem, don't expect it to get fixed anytime soon, or even getting a refund. i'm waiting until att uverse is avaibable.
Attention Comcast users with NBA League Pass. If you are one of these people, can you tell me if you can view the Rockets preseason game tonight? I think something is wrong with my configuration, but the comcast customer service is acting like no preseason games are being shown. If you live in Montgomery County Maryland, this will even give me more proof that I can thrown in their face. Also is there an official schedule for nba league pass preseason? Cause maybe I could use that too. I hate Comcast. That is all. Thanks.
I am now using Direct TV. If they have crappy service or screw me around like Comcast...they are gone too. I dont care about additional HD channels, they will all have many HD channels soon. As long as I have HD ESPN and the Sunday Ticket...I'm happy. Ive heard some good things about Uverse.
uverse isn't available where I'm at! I'm a free agent right now... I've had TW/Comcast for internet since it was available. I've had Dish but they want too much money for me to upgrade. So its down to DirectTV and Comcast for my TV programming. All i want is HD channels so im leaning towards DirectTV. Anybody recently get DirectTV? How is the service so far? How many HD channels u getting?
Comcast sucks. They took over and downgraded their signal for some mysterious reason, which causes poor reception and bad internet speeds. It's no wonder their stock is sliding and they've lost 10% of their customer base. And how do they respond to that loss? By jacking up rates to recoup money. Idiots. So I dropped Comcast Friday for Dish. Couldn't be happier- better picture, more channels, more HD channels, TONS of sports channels, better tuner (2 room HD DVR), all for LESS money. Everyone I've dealt with has been great from the initial sales folks to the installer. www.godish.com
I don't mind if there is an outage, but the main reason I am really disliking Comcast is the number of days they make you wait to get a technician to come to your house to fix the problem. There is no reason why someone has to wait 3-4 days for a tech visit. When AT&T phone service goes out, they come the very same day. No reason why Comcast can't. On a positive note, Comcast recently switched out all the cable lines in my street to brand new cables. Now my torrents are running at 900KB. This is even on public torrents sites like btjunkie.org.
Comcast sucks balls...I got my bill and it was about $30 higher than normal. Somehow, they added a bunch of packages that I dont need and dont want. All I need is the basic stuff and the HD channels. I'm going to demand a refund.
There wasnt just 'an' outage. There were 3 outages within a 3 month period. 1 outage (internet), 2 outage (cable) for over a week each time. And the customer service was horribleIt did take a little under a month for Direct to come out. The tech told me that he didnt realize that so many people were pissed off with Comcast. He told me some of the stories that other ex-Comcast folks had. I took the time to drop off my 3 HD Receivers and Cable Modem, 3 remotes to Comcast off 290 and everyone in the line was complaining. It was kind of funny because the lady at the counter didnt even ask questions, she just accepted my stuff and asked " Canceling your service?". I responded with an "Oh yeah." She didnt say a word to me after that. I overheard the manager on duty talking about an irrate customer that came in on the previous day and she said that " he was nasty!" to the whole group of women cust service reps, "Girl, he must have been on that bi-polar medicine."
Just returned my HD DVR box to the local Comcast office. They were really pleasant, but told me that my internet would go to $54 a month without television service. What I didn't mention was that I was switching to Earthlink. Still, pretty crummy way of keeping people's business.
Comcast does suck balls. I moved back to Houston in July (into my new place in July). So far: -3 boxes have had to be replaced -Took 2 days and 2 technicians to install an additional outlet -Box outages 4 times, had to reset each time to get it to work -Was stood up on a Saturday by a technician (1-5PM). When I called, they said that I never had an appointment and wouldn't let me talk to a supervisor -Spent a total of 2 hours on the phone in one afternoon on hold (2 different departments) -Rates have been raised -Been to the Comcast office 2 times BTW, I had TWC for 8 years and never once had an issue with equipment or service
Weird...isn't Comcast using the same equipment, techs and customer service reps that were working for TW?
The only problem with Dish is you lose reception very easily, especially when its rainy/cloudy outside. I've missed quite a few big games because of this. And it takes FOREVER to receive a signal once it goes out.
