I am sitting here waiting patiently for the satellite guys (Direct) to install my system. Once they are finished, I’m going to call Comcast up and tell them to come and pick up their crap. Since they have moved in and too over TW, I have had so much trouble. My brother from Denver had told me that they sucked before they took over here in Houston. First time: 2 week outage on my internet Second time: 1 week outage on my cable service (Comcast tech and unplugged my connection to fix my neighbors) Third time: Last week while I was on a business trip in Chicago, they cancelled my service. I cancelled my internet service not my cable service. Customer service has been terrible. Friday I talked with a "Diego" and asked to talk with his manager. He came back with a different voice and tried to say that he was the manager with a different name. When I called BS and told him, he went on to say, with his original voice, “well I am the manager for the installation group". What an idiot. Worst service ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a nice day ladies and gentlemen.
I switched to the AT&T Dish/DSL/Home phone bundle a year ago when I got so pissed at Time Warner I could've killed a little puppydog. I've had minor troubles, but nothing near the insanity I had with Time Warner. CATV, like credit cards, ib de debbil.
Unfortunately, I have no choice but to get Comcast. The apartments that i live in cannot have dish or directv due to the location of my particular apartment. I cannot get SBC or anything with AT&T except phone because my stupid complex has a contract with Comcast and only can allow thier service. It's like a monopoly there. I have all 3 services from comcast. It's been 3 months and my receiever (box) for digital cable has already busted on me twice. each time I have called for service for the receiever and have been given a time frame of 2 WEEKS for the tech to come out. They gave me an option to go to the nearest comcast office and return it there. The wait is crazy at their office with a line full of upset customers. Even when I returned the receiver at the office, I was told by customer service that I would be able to pick up another receiver for mine. guess what?? WRONG!!! They don't have any extra receivers. So I had to wait 2 weeks before I could get a receiever that worked and all this because Comcast uses refurbished boxes and they SUCK!!! I obviously called to get some money off my bill since I did not have any cable services for 2 weeks. After 45 minutes of talking to a rep. I was told that everything should be taken care of. My bill comes in next month and it is even higher than it is normally suppose to be! I called back to clear it up for another hour and was told it was a mistake by the previous rep and that everything should be ok for my next month's bill. I am still awaiting my bill for next month, and am very scared because somehow I feel that this will not be resolved and I would have to waste another hour out of my day to speak to these stupid, dumb, not knowing anything about their job Representatives. by the way, my lease ends in December and I am MOVING OUT... primarily because of COMCAST!!! COMCAST SUCKS!!!
I too have gotten fed up with Comcast and I'll be getting ATT U-Verse installed Nov. 5th. Good riddance.
Yeah TW sucked also. But I like Comcast better than TW because the download/upload speeds are ridiculous!
I don't know...I had all sorts of trouble with TW when I was in Austin. Haven't had much trouble with Comcast in Sugar Land at all though.
I ordered the NFL package for $69.99 for 4 months and it comes with all HBO, Showtime, Cinemax's. I will adjust when football season is over. Im gonna be in this house for another year.

I haven't had any problems so far with Comcast as my internet provider. I haven't used cable TV since 1992, so I don't feel your pain there.
I guess it where you live but I live in a 28yr old house Stafford/Sugarldn and my connections have been fantastic? Actually I've been getting better speeds than TW? Weird.
Comcast Must Die You're definitely not the only one. Comcast SUCKS. Plus, they gutted TechTV. Jerkfaces.
I havent had problems with TW/Comcast either. Internet has always been good. TV service....umm...cant complain too much....although for the price the customers are paying they should be adding more HD channels but hey ... new HD channels should go live tomorrow. Customer service sucks though but I doubt if other providers are any better.
As mad as I am with Comcast right now (I've had to pay the same bill 3X because their automated sevices haven't worked and to pay a live person is a $4 charge), the new HD channels went live today. Just a heads up in case you missed it.
