Okay, might as well have a thread for the last playoff game this weekend. Let's see - I am a Broncos fan so it is easy to see who I will be for in this one - the Colts. The Chiefs are a bunch of punks who were fortunate to get some big special teams plays earlier in the season to get off to such a good start. The Colts, after pounding my Broncos, are going to be incredibly hard to stop on offense. Yes, I know that KC's offense is pretty good, too but Indy's defense is better. I think that fact is what will decide this game in the end. Indy - 38 KC - 30
I'm going to go crazy and suggest that the Chiefs win in a rout. Now that the monkey is off Peyton's back, he gets lackadaisical and makes some big mistakes today, allowing the Chiefs to bust open a big lead that the Colts will never come back from.
Manning will pick apart the Chief's defense all-game long. Colts win 35 - 21 Although I'll never hear the end of it from a friend, they'll win :\
WOW... what a start. Colts score on their first two possesions, with Manning using the play-action to perfection. Still plenty of time left, but if KC scores a TD on their second posession, this very well may be the 'shootout' everybody was predicting. 14-3 Indy.
lol exactly as I predicted so far. Manning is just too damn good..... maybe the Patriots can stop the colts...
I'm glad I picked the over. Easiest money I've ever made. The funniest part of the game is when they keep showing KC's defensive coordinator. Poor guy doesn't know what hit him.
Game is not over yet. Damn. I say kick away and play the run until third down. On third down play the play action roll out. Plenty of time to stop them. Most teams crawl up with less than 4 minutes. Colts will do the same.
I sincerely apologize to Peyton Manning for trashing his name, talent, and ability throughout this season. He should have won the MVP outright. (Yes it hurts to say, but that's how I truly feel now.)
Colts vs. Patriots should be pretty good. I think Peyton will be able to tear them up too if it's warm. But Patriots will fight back. Peppers may be the last guy who can stop Peyton. He's on fire right now.
Colts win... now we can get ready for Patriots vs. Colts II. Just think... had the Colts scored that 1yard TD in the regular season matchup, this game would be played in Indy, not New England. (Don Cheadle impersonation) "... that's what the regular season is about... it made a dome game into a snow game." I wouldn't be dissapointed with either of these teams comin to Houston...
I think future unemployment hit him. The NFC championship should be great. It may depend on what the weather is like. I can only see Indy loosing if its cold and snowy.
Nice call, man! Hard to believe we didn't see a punt from either team the whole game. Even harder to believe the Colts punter hasn't punted YET in the playoffs. Why does he even dress? I'm pulling for the Colts the rest of the way. I have so much respect for Tony Dungy. He deserves everything good that happens to him. Beside Capers, he's my favorite coach. Talk about class.
Nice Work Manny I called Carolina last week and this week. I called Indy last week and this week. If Green Bay wins i'll be 8 for 8 in the playoffs.
Not bad at all, not bad! Should be a great AFC Championship Game next weekend - I will definitely be rooting for either team in the Super Bowl. BTW - thanks moe. Too bad that I didn't get the Broncos-Colts game right last weekend.
Peyton is the best QB in football. Any QB that can go the line, instantly decipher what a defense is showing him and automatically intiate the appropriate countermove is going to successful and that's exactly what Peyton does. I know the Pats beat them earlier this year and that they have a much better defense than either the Broncos or Chiefs, but I don't know if they can hold back the hottest offense in football.
A lot of that has to do with the amount of game film watched by him during the week, and his constant studying of the 'instant polaroids' taken during the game of the opposing team's defensive sets (whenever they show him on the sideline, he's ALWAYS looking at these). He's then able to use this knowledge, alond with great coaching from Tom Moore, to make those adjustments at the line... which becomes far easier when you put as much work into studying defensees as Peyton does. I'll put big money that (if he wants to), he'll be a top-notch offensive coordinator/head coach once his playing days are done.
