I don't post too often--just wanted to mention that after going to the game last night, we went back to IHOP in Sugar Land (Sweetwater and 59) and saw Jason Collier with his family (parents, gf/wife I assume). Apparently he didn't go to the game, but I know he watched it cause they were talkin about Yao's late-game pass :D Got a few autographs, talked about watching him at Tech 3 years ago, and said bye. That's about it...worth mentioning at least!

--I also HATE the drum introductions..

I once went courtside before the game a few years back and talked with Colloer during the warmups.

I got his autograph in a media guide.

He's a really nice guy, but still injured.:(

Cool! I live in that area...You can notice by my name...SL..A. :) Man...I ate breakfast there today. Kinda late. I guess he lives around that area. I wish I saw him. He must be happy that Yao is here. Is he really injured or is he just on the injured list? I thought he was a good and hardworking rebounder, but we just have too many players. That's nice to hear. :)

Even though Cato's playing great, he's the guy I would consider moving to pf behind/instead of Mo Taylor. He played pf in college I believe.

Any guy who takes his family to IHOP is a solid guy in my books.

Talking about basket ball, I loved or rather enroyed watching Jason - at least he makes his open shots and he plays hard. Solid individual all the way - I wish him all the best and a happy NBA carrier.

    IHOP?

Are the rockets not paying him enough.

    Jason Collier is exciting.

Now I know why collier is so fat. Instead of going to the game he goes to IHOP.

it's a shame that Collier can't find his nitch in Houston. I think he'll have a solid career in the NBA...but I think it'll be with another team.

I personally feel he's every bit as good as guys like Brad Miller and Todd MacCollogh.

Collier will not have a solid NBA career. He is just not athletic enough. Brad Miller is more athletic, and Todd MacCollough is a true seven footer. I'm glad Collier is a nice guy, but he just isn't NBA material. Tell you guys what, if I give you my autograph, can I play for the Rockets?

So, what injury does Collier have? The infamous yet difficult to document "sore back"? "high ankle sprain"? Maybe the new en vogue NBA injury, "plantar fascitis"?

Shin splints is the "injury." I'd like to see Collier play next to Ming because he would go inside and bang with people. He also has a nice shooting touch. He has played well when he has had a chance to play. My contention has always been that he is a a PF rather than a center.
