Yes sir... This Saturday it's going to be fun again... some of the games I'm looking forward to: Cal-Oregon Alabama-Arkansas Florida-Kentucky VT-Miami Houston-TTU and of course.. my Longhorns UTEP-Texas
I would love to watch Bama/Arkansas. See what Mallet (best pro QB prospect in the NCAA IMO) can do against a solid defense. A defense I haven't had the chance to watch yet this season. I love that 3-4/4-3 hybrid stuff they work in at Alabama. McClain has been one of my favs since he was a freshman. UNC/GT, my fav offense vs one of my favorite coaches. Should be fun. Will oo-la-la beat another Big 12 team? I also suspect Clemson/TCU will be one mighty boring game. And ya I hear there is a big game in Houston this weekend! Apparently an SEC private school will battle a CUSA private school. People around H-Town seem pretty pumped about that one.
I am going to put some money down on Miami, I said it earlier in the year that the U will make its comeback this season. You can count on that with the performance of Harris so far. Going to Blacksburg might be a challenge but the Hokies look very suspect after last week's miraculous play at the end. Other than that I love me some Coogs football so I its going to be a great saturday of watching games.
Has anyone mentioned Iowa at Penn State? No? On a serious note - I would be amped beyond the norm for this game but my grandmother, who I got my Hawkeye fanaticism from, is very near the end of her life. I hope she gets to see it.
My friend is going to the Arkansas-Alabama game. The Hogs defense is young but with a year of improvement under its belt and Mallet's as well, I look for them to be the Ole Miss of next year.
Really? I am scared to death we are going to get a shellacking! (we being UK of course) Hopefully it will be a good game for us... thankfully everyone is healthy so we will at least have our full regiment of weapons.
I could not believe that ending. VT was so lucky. Up until that play, Nebraska's D was looking like like it did in the early 90's. Just a back-breaking loss for the Huskers. And their fans still stood and applauded VT as they were leaving the field. Best fans in the country.
I'm going to track down Verne Lundquist, push him to the ground and see if he cracks into pieces. That might just be a myth. Either way it will be fun to watch and see him try to get back up on his feet.
Assuming Mallett doesn't go pro after this year... Also, I'll drink a beer in Steve Spurrier's honor if he takes out the old used car salesman tonight!!!
Yeah, I think Kentucky can pose some threat... Florida hasn't been having the best 1st halves. I'll have the last laugh at this one.
Ive been high on Ole Miss for 2 years. Then I look up and see them ranked 4th. What the heck man. People are crazy.
Ole Miss being ranked #4 was a total joke. They aren't even a top 10 team. Good win for the Old Ball Coach but it wasn't monumental. If they beat 'Bama or Florida later in the year, then they should celebrate.
Houston Nutt cannot win a big game in which he is a favorite. He's the perennial guy that can get his team up in order to pull a big upset that, in the long run, means zilch. If anyone can point to a single big game he won as a clear favorite ( 2006/Tennessee does not count), I'll make a $10 donation to the tip jar.
