Still early, but Texas, Rice, and Baylor all appear to be in the top 25 and headed for good seasons...

Anyone have a chance to see any of these teams so far.. and any comments on them?

Rice is ranked #6 by baseball america and UT-Austin is #10. Baylor isn't currently ranked - they lost a lot from last season but still have some solid arms. The Owls have suffered from the loss of 3 pitchers who were counted on to be starters, leaving us vulnerable during mid-week games (while other unscrupulous coaches consistently throw their aces during mid-week games...). However, we've recently gotten one of the pitchers back from injury (Bobby Bell) and should be good to go. The season is about at its half-way point. The cream will rise to the top during conference play which is just starting. There's a lot of parity in college baseball this year, that's for certain.

bigtexx.. I just noticed that baylor isn't ranked in baseball america...

I had just seen a collegiate baseball ranking on another board and was going by that (then again that ranking also has my school ranked too)

I guess there is some variation this early in the season.
