oh ****... Personal to Mr S and the little lady... I dont pray often these days, but I got a special one going out for yall.
not to make fun of a serious situation, but damn, giddyup that was funny.... codell, we're thinking about you and your family...and behad, thanks for the update.
Here codell, since you wife is gonna be laid up awhile.... "How does Mrs. codell like being pregnant?" Behad asked his friend codell. "Oh, she's not pregnant," codell replied, "she's expecting." "What's the difference?" Behad pressed. "Well, codell explained, "She's expecting me to cook dinner, she's expecting me to do the housework, she's expecting me to rub her feet . .
Hope everything's okay, man. I was born premature (1 month early), and I turned just fine (I think...).
Thanks for all the well wishes folks. Everything looks under control. Wife is still in the hospital and is expected to be there indefinitely. Good thing is, she got a room of her own and it is very nice. Big TV, VCR and bathroom with a jacuzzi. Plus she has an internet connection, although its not very stable. Overall, its like a nice hotel room. Anyway, as Behad recapped, Codell Jr. is doing fine. He is 32 weeks and up to 4 lbs so if he came early, he would probably be ok. The last thing to develop is the lungs, so he would be in ICU till they finished cooking. They have her on steriods to help with that. They have her on Magnesium to stop the contractions which I have pretty much worked so far. They will stop giving it to her probably tomorrow. If they contractions stay away, then they might let her come home on strict bed rest orders by Tuesday. If they come back, they she will have to stay there for 6 weeks unitl the due date. Oh BTW, in case some are wondering, the kid's name will not be "Seven" or "Soda" (not that i didnt try to convince my wife otherwise). Kid's name will be J.C. (Jack Charles). Again, thanks for the well wishes everyone. Keep yalls fingers crossed.
Four pounds is great. I have two doctors and five nurses in my family and have heard a lot of stories. Four pounds is terrific. I wish you the best and will pray for you. Sounds like you are doing good. Sounds like Behad got your back. It's good to have friends that care. Keep an eye on em' Behad.
Smeg nominated "Cuttino" as his name. I told him that he should save it for Smeg Jr. He said his wife threatened to make him take the next Smeg Tour by himself if he brought up the suggestion again. Here are some of my other nominees that got shot down by Mrs. Codell: Thomas Jonathan Alfred Victor (Tom-John-A-Vick for short) C.D.'s heir apparent Yaobaby Jason Kiddo Feel free to nominate some more you guys. There is still time!!
Mrs Codell loves Smeg as a name, hopefully she breaks the news to you soon. the next smeg world tour will be a solo, this september in fact, at the minute the SWt will include London, Spain, Paris and maybe Ireland. there is a possibility the tour will include a return leg via the US, not sure where yet, maybe houston who knows. btw Cuttino is still in the plans but maybe only as a second name.
Aren't you afraid the kids at school will taunt him by calling him Jason Collier? Glad to hear everything is going ok now.
Codell, Best of Luck to you and yours . Name: how about Noah James? I only say that because it was the name of my mom's child she lost to a miscarriage. +
come on man, you can admit it. You really want to call him "Franchise" or as an alternative.. you can call him Chris. you know you want to
Good luck with everything. I know how bad hospital stays can be. Just got back from the second one this year. There were a bunch of people on my florr with Cystic Fibrosis and they practically live in the hospital. I can't imagine how bad it must be. Hospitals suck, especially if you're bedridden. Anyway, hope everything will go well.
Hey codell - best of luck - it sounds like everything is under control. Just so you don't feel alone, my wife went into preterm labor at 26 weeks (with twins) - almost 4 months early. She was admitted to Texas Women's hospital and and stayed there for 6 weeks. She was on magnesium sulfate the whole time, and she had the steroids shot quite early to aid in lung development. They were eventually delivered by C-section at 36 weeks - healthy and beautiful (although now they are bratty 2.5 year olds ). I remember at the time that the Doctor was very relieved once we reached 32 weeks - that is a big milestone.
Hey codell, good to hear that things are getting better. My nephew was born a month and a half early and he's a healthy 8 year old now. I just spent all day wraslin' him, so I know. Hope things continue to get better for you and yours...and keep us informed.
