oh well, i pulled the trigger on the nexus s (Free at best buy)too soon http://tech.fortune.cnn.com/2011/08/23/sprint-soars-10-12-on-report-that-its-getting-the-iphone/ Sprint soars 10.12% on report that it's getting the iPhone By Philip Elmer-DeWitt August 23, 2011: 5:26 PM ET According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple will add a third U.S. carrier in mid-October "Sprint Nextel Corp. will begin selling the iPhone 5 in mid-October, people familiar with the matter said, closing a huge hole in the No. 3 U.S. carrier's lineup and giving Apple Inc. another channel for selling its popular phone."
And bye bye unlimited data plan on Sprint. Looks like T-Mobile is the last one standing with unlimited data. (and eventually they'll be gone too with the merger)
I wish ATT would lower its costs now that it's not even one of 2 big time companies offering the iPhone. I shouldn't be paying $90 a month and still not get unlimited talk and be limited to 2gb.
I really don't think Sprint will be getting rid of their unlimited plans. I got the evo 3d in June, but since I have been with sprint 10 years I can upgrade every 12 months... ill consider the iPhone next year
Well this is the straw that back the camel's back for me. See ya T-mobile. I know it will be $10 more a month and extra to hotspot but I will finally get my iphone.
yea this ****ing gentlemen's agreement these companies have is ****ing lame, we're going to turn into canada in a flash, 250mb data cap... same goes with ISPs
my nexus s has been pretty good so far. the screen is super nice and everything is way faster than my old hero. we'll see what the cost and plans are when it comes out. i've given plenty of money to apple (2 ipods).
This is exactly why I don't want to leave AT&T. I'm grandfathered into their unlimited plan where I can go over the 2GB limit and not be penalized... for now, anyway. They're supposed to be throttling speeds soon if you go over the limit.
Question: if you're grandfathered in on that plan (as I am) and your contract expires, do you continue getting unlimited data if you go month-to-month? I assume if I renew my contract, I drop to capped usage?
