Per team policy terms of the contract were not released. Skinner In 51 games played with the Clippers last season, Skinner averaged 4.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 16.5 minutes per game. Over his 11 year NBA career, Skinner has tallied 4.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 18.3 minutes per game. On June 30th, the Clippers announced that Skinner had decided not to exercise his player contract option for the 2009-10 NBA season, making him an unrestricted free agent. Don't know why the Rockets never tried to sign Skinner as a backup. He's a Texas (Baylor) native and has proven to be somewhat adequate at center.
But their coach is pathetic and something seems to always go wrong. Or maybe this season will be a magic carpet ride like a few years ago. If Blake Griffin plays like a stud, it could be an interesting season.
gotta credit the dudes hustle. Managed to stay in the league for 12 seasons despite having little to no talent.
