Uh-oh. Morey won't be able to resist. Houston native, big center, catches Harden's lobs. CLANKS THOSE FREE THROWS.
Rockets upgrade bench even further 2017/2018 Rockets based on the tricks up all the chins CP3 harden Butler George Porkzingis Bench Hayward Millsap DeAndre Jordan
There's no upside whatsoever in DeAndre...he's also going to be 30 soon and about to get paid. He's a nice guy and from Houston, but we should stay away imo.
"I just won with Zaza ****ing Pachulia. And you guys locked him up in a house until he reneged on Dallas & re-signed with you? Doc, "
they will want cap Room and cheap young players/picks they know Chris Paul is leaving, JJ Redick is going to get the max so he's leaving because it doesn't make sense to match him. also, there is a good chance Blake griffin leaves. one less team to worry anout, but how many more will they create?
I disagree. His impact on defense + defensive rebounding would change the dynamic of this team completely. Shooting 3's = random outcomes by nature. Diversifying the portfolio with something that can be done consistently by nature - defense & rebounding = better, more consistent team that can still win when shots aren't falling. The Spurs have been doing it that way for 20 years. As far as upside - I agree there. He is what he is. Being bad at FT's can be overstated. And the league might adapt the rule.
we had a defensive big in howard where the scheme was to funnel guys to the rim and the defense was atrocious. it allowed our perimeter defense to be even more lazy than it already is. DJ would be an the absolute wrong move here when you have a carbon copy of the same and a better FT shooter, who costs minimal
Defensively he brings what Dwight Howard used to. The good Dwight Howard. Offensively he can do the same things Capela does currently around the rim. Unlike Dwight Howard, Jordan doesn't refuse to set picks and doesn't have near mental issues. They aren't really at all the same to me. Jordan shot 5 free throws a game, he made half, you might have to pull him in crunch time depending on how the rules shake out. I can live with 2 missed free throws per game.
To me guys like DeAndre and Drummond are way overrated on defense, it's like they're considered good defenders just because they block some shots...but defense is way more than that, sure, he's a great rebounder, but are you willing to pay him 30/35x in a year when he'll be 30 and his athleticism will start to go down? Capela is already a better offensive player, he's 5 years younger, cheaper (and he'll still be with his next contract), smarter, already not hackable... To me DeAndre would be a waste of assets. If you want to spend assets to upgrade or make a real change at the center spot, get Cousins, he's a great rebounder, can play better defense than DeAndre and he has way more talent, can score from any position etc...
any team DJ is on they'll be hacking especially at the end. he's been forced on the bench at the end of game a lot more as of late. don't want him anywhere near this team imo
DJ is pretty nice, but we don't need him, i like Capela much more, even more so given how nicely he has been developing so far, unless we're getting a guy with a clear cut upside (Porzingis and such)i don't really see a need to upgrade it there. Would also like to have at least few home grown players, no need to throw them around.
