Well, the Cowboys just sealed the deal with a long Vinny pass to Terry Glenn. I can't believe we are going to win this game with 4 turnovers and 10+ penalties.

This is a screwed up ending to a poorly played game. The Browns recovered an on-side kick after the Cowboys got a safety and are now in position for one last hail Mary pass. If we lost on this play, then that would be funny as hell.

I've never seen a quarterback with 300 yards passing on the day pass so poorly...... you cant tell me he looked good Surfguy... I could tell he was off on the first drive (despite the success)

Cowboys win the Dumb and Dumber Bowl !!

I don't know how Parcels keeps his head from blowing up with as many stupid fumbles and penalties this team makes. Witten holding , Flozell holding and offsides. Julius Jones is gonna lose a lot of carries for the rest of this year.

Vinny was late on two out patterns and dumped one into traffic but he sure can throw the football when he makes the right read. He won't remind anybody of a rocket scientist though.

    8 & 8 here we come!

That was a lot closer than I wanted, and listening to the radio didn't help any. I can't comment on how Vinny looked given the fact that I didn't watch it, although I didn't like hearing "interception" every few plays.

I hate these dumb mistakes, but at least those are easy things to correct, IMO, especially with Parcells as coach. For the most part, the look good but due to stupid mistakes, they get pulled down a bit. It seems like that if Dallas played a little smarter and more effieciently, we could have blown out Cleveland and at least made it a bit closer in Minnesota. Of course, looking at the past doesn't do any good. I just hope the can stop with the dumb mistakes since I doubt Washington will turn the ball over another 7 times, no matter how much I think they're overrated. It may be a little too early to tell, but if the offense can continue to put up upper 300-400 yds of offense, that would be awesome, as long as the mistakes are taken care of.

I still think we need to sign someone for the secondary...

Did everyone see that one play where the ball was thrown to Winslow, but it was pretty much uncatchable and Newman put that late hit on him in the air? It was pretty amazing. I mean, Newman comes in late and puts a helmet to helmet hit on him in midair, Winslow somehow absorbs it and manages to grab Newman and throw him to the ground all in one motion. When I saw it at first, I was wincing thinking Winslow might be hurt, but then I looked again and saw that it was the COWBOY player that was on the ground and Kellen was standing over him, jawing. I don't care about the size difference between players, that was pretty impressive.

The was a game the Cowboys had no business winning. Luckily we were playing a team with an offense even worse than ours.

First the good: The D played really good. D-line got a lot of pressure on Garcia despite only having 1 sack. Dat made a nice pick and as always was around the ball. Secondary looked better but I give a lot of the credit to the d-line and difference in talent between Minny and Cleveland. How aboutt eh aggressive play calling (fle flicker, fake punt, Vinny's final throw) looked like a team trying to win. How about the O-line, 2 starters out and they still protected Vinny pretty well and made some decent holes (not all the time) for the backs. Finally Vinny played a great 1st half. As long as the line gives him time he can still throw it. I also think Eddie played well, I started to get goose bumps when I heard teh Ed-D chants near the end of the game. I love Keyshawn's blocking!

The Bad: Penalties. Hate to be the guys in the film room. Julius Jones had a fumble and a pass which he could have caught for a TD. Terry Glenn was backing away from the ball on the 1st INT, it still wasn't a good pass but if he would have came back for the ball it likely would have been incomplete or at least not as big as return. Vinny got in a real bad groove in the 2nd half. Like I said the 1st INT could have been prevented but the 2nd and 3rd were 100% his fault.

Dude, we had that original conversation on the first drive when he was 4 for 4 and drove the team the length of the field for a TD. He didn't look good the 2nd half...I'll give you that. But, that was way past our conversation. I assume your saying he was off because some of his first passes were slightly wobbily and not spirals. I'm sorry...I don't count a wobbily pass as being off if it reaches its mark on target. I don't think Quincy threw a spiral once when he was our QB and Vinny makes Quincy look like a complete amateur with the way he completes passes. So, even as bad a game passing-wise as it was(largely due to the 3 INTs which should have never been thrown), Vinny had a 300+ yard passing game...something QC would never have been able to accomplish. I haven't been watching Vinny long enough to know when he's going to have a bad game after a totally successful first drive. Apparently, you have and you are to be commended for your ability to prophecize the performance of a qb as "poor" after a succesful first drive. Amazing. :D

This just in...rookie running back Julius Jones is out at least two months with a broken shoulder blade.

The guy barely played and he's out with an injury.

    :(

Kind of the curse of Cowboy Rookies. Besides Roy Williams and Antonio Bryant seems like all of our top 2 round picks get hurt early.

It is a set back, I wasn't his biggest fan but his speed would have helped at some point.

I'm glad Reshard Lee played well in camp or we may have had a rather old HB core. Sucks for JJ. I was somewhat high on him given the success he had in preseason (I know, doesn't matter too much), but hopefully the others can pick up the slack. To be honest, I wanted each guy to do well but if that happen, it would be hard to go with 4 HB's each game, much less give each of them goot PT. Unfortunately for JJ, once he gets back, he'll have to find some way to get back into the lineup...unless everybody else is stinking it up, but I certaintly am not looking for that to happen.

Well, at least Buffalo is 0-2. YEA!

Tuna said if it looks like he may be out 8 weeks (probably waiting more extensive tests from doctor) that he will probably go on the IR.
That being said he could be back in 5-6 weeks so I imagine the next week will be critical to see if he goes on or not.

Thanks for the info. I haven't had the chance to check the info out. I just saw it on the bottom line of ESPN and here as well. That does make sense about putting him on the IR. If he is going to miss that much time, might as well let him take the rest of the year off and make sure he gets healthy. It will be a blow to the team since he brings some speed from the HB spot, but hopefully the others can pick up the slack. Him without a good shoulder is still better than Hambrick. :p

I like Vinny, but when your passess arent sharp, they arent sharp. From beginning to end, his passess werent sharp.
