If you're black, go to Bronx Bar. Take a video camera with you too.

Anvil is what I was going to suggest. It's a good spot for some really unique and great cocktails. Afterward you can walk next door to one of my other favorite spots, Etro.

Don't presume the OP owns a silk shirt.

The Drake is full of d-bags wearing Ed Hardy. You'll LOVE it!

Capones on Westheimer and Mid Lane is the place is to go. Awesome atmosphere, and if you feel like grabbing a bite while you are there.. awesome food too.

Funny...we ended up going here, I remembered going with friends a while back and liked the atmosphere. The resturant was alive but the club was somewhat dead.

She had gone to Anvil before and didn't really like it...saying that we drove by and it was PACKED!

Oh yea...We have gone to Drake before and it was nice but I didnt feel it much but from my opening comments you can see how I wouldn't but she loved it still it strikes me as a place to go with Friends not for a romantic evening.

I went to a bar on Washington Ave. for the first time. Dude. Is that the spot now? I feel sorry for area residents. On second thought, it wasn't classy. It was like 6th St.

Yeah I live near there and have been surprised at the traffic there on weekend nights. Lots of new places opening.

Not all bad, lots of good restaurants too.
