NBA recap, Spurs and Magic today....

"But Francis dribbled inside the arc, then back out before launching an airball that went out of bounds as time expired. "

    Dang,

We needed him to hit that shot and go on to beat San Antonio...we need them to lose.

I am not interested in Steve sux threads, he is a guy who plays hard all the time, he is maddening to root for, but he hustles like crazy.

I wish him all the best, ESPECIALLY against Western Conference teams.

    :)

That was one boneheaded play! I thought his penetration was really good when he beated everybody and went in for an easy dunk. No, he turned back and went outside the 3 point line for an airball! If Francis made the dunk, Magic would be still in the game with around 8 seconds lef down by 1. They could try to get a steal, or Spurs could miss one FT. Even if Spurs made both, they still have time to get another 3 pointer to tie the game. Oh well...

Yeh, he had a rough night shooting the ball, but he dished out 9 assists, had only ONE(1) TO.

    Unbelievable:confused:

it was boneheaded but not because he didn't go for the layup, imo. he should've never penetrated inside or he should've passed back out once he did go inside instead of run out and shoot. while they were only down 3, they had no timeouts and by the time they fouled would've mostly likedly had about 5 seconds left. they should've gone for a 3. why steve ever dribbled inside i have no idea and why he took that shot i have no idea but i would've told anyone who got the ball not to go for the quick 2 since they had no timeouts.

They had a chance to beat the Spurs late in the game in SA, largely because of Francis's earlier play. That's a feat not many else have accomplished. I only hope the Rockets can do the same in SA at least once this year.

Didn't that already happen? Or do you mean you want to see the Rockets be able to win against the Spurs without divine intervention?

As soon as I saw that play on League Pass, I KNEW someone was going to have to come on here and post how he is the same SF3. So predictable

    Yes it is.

Its amazing that someone who played so hard for us, became so hated.

Exactly. When's the last time we haven't looked like a JV team in San Antonio?
