Is a fat waste of space, and one of the most useless players in the NBA. How he managed to score that ridiculous contract is beyond me. Spoon represents everything that is wrong with the NBA salaries spiraling out of control. I cringe every time I see this worthless piece of trash take the floor.

I guess it beats having to pay Moochie and Amaechi, but man, this guy is terrible. Nobody will take him off our hands.

    wow, a tad harsh...

hes a nice rebounder, gives maximum effort and hustles despite being severely undersized...he also has a nice midrange shot and can score too...

the Rockets could do a lot worse...

Spoon kept us in quite a few games towards the end of last year. It's not his fault he's undersized and overpaid. Everybody gets overpaid in New York.

Baqui99 is a fat waste of space, and one of the most usless posters on BBS. How he managed to post almost 4000 times is beyond me. Baqui99 represents everything that is wrong with BBS posts spiraling out of control. I cringe every time I see this worthless piece of trash make a post.

I guess it beats having to read stupid trade post, but man, this guy is terrible. Nobody will let him post on other sites.

He's not that bad Baqui....he's an active rebounder, decent defender, and can stick the open 10-12 footer consistently. I'll agree his contract should be at least 1/2 of what it is though.

Has somebody's been gettin roadblocked on the pooper this week?! :p

He's slow as balls, has poor lateral movement, and gets winded after two trips down the floor. The only way he sticks that 10-12 footer is because the defender backs away from him every time he shoots it. Hell, I'd let him shoot that ugly jumper all day long.

At most he's worst the veteran's minimum.

I have a hard time hating Weatherspoon because he does give effort. Its much easier for me to bash Moochie, who got the contract and just stopped trying.

Weatherspoon is an example of a player whom people placed unrealistic expectations upon. They called him the next Barkley because he was big and relatively short for a pf. And he did get you some rebounds. He scored a nice contract off those expectations. Can't blame him. But he does give effort.

Weatherspoon may be overpaid, but he contributed a hell of a lot more than Boki, Piatkowski, A. Griffin, Moochie and Amaechi combined last season. Definitely not our worst player... or our worst contract.

Im not the biggest fan of Clarence either but i found out that he is part of the all-time Sixers team in ESPN Basketball, the game. I was like holy **** how the hell did he get on there. If he can get on there so can I.:D
Then i looked back at his stats in Phily and found they were not that bad.
    PPG RPG APG
    93' 18.4 10.10 2.3
These are pretty good stats for a 6'7 power foward. I dont know if he deserves to be on the all-time Sixers but ESPN thinks so.

But now he is way past his prime and doesnt deserve the hefty contract he is getting. O'well, Trade Him if anybody takes him.

Man that is an old card. That was back when he was in shape and in the prime of his career. He was was one of the better fowards in basketball in the 90s. Not at hard to be succeful undersized in the East.

I don't think Spoon is THAT bad, however, I did cringe a few times last year, when at crunch time and we REALLY needed a hoop, Spoon was the one taking it. Man with all the weapons on the team, I don't want him shooting in crunch time. He hustles and plays hard...gotta love him for that because not every player does that!

Well of course, he's old! He's at the end of his career! Much like Glen Rice, but he was making like 11 mil per.

And besides that, he's still a good solid rebounder off the bench which is one of our needs. His FG% doesn't stink.

    Not feelin the T-Spoon hate.
