If The Rockets do get Gasol, why not let our young power forwards play most of the bulk of the mins @ power forward during the reg season? D-Mo, 2Pat, Morris, or whoever is still on this team should give Gasol much needed rest during the reg season after playing in Spain. That's what a smart NBA coach would do.
I am quoting respected sources and you are making snide comments. On par for CF. You could analyze his playoff performances these last 2 years, contrast them to the years when he won his rings, try to fit them into the context of the Lakers team and actually say something meaningful. Or you could just make a snide comment.
I will get you started by posting the correct questions for you. Gasol's stats these last couple of regular seasons are very close to his stats in the seasons when he won his championship rings. However his playoff performance was significantly worse these last two years. Is there something significantly different about Pau? How has the Lakers roster changed and what has been its effect on Pau? Is it the whole roster or is it just Pau performing poorly? What has Kobe been doing? That last question probably needs a lot of attention. Go at it big guy. Show us what you have! LOL.
Functioning totally on memory, the Bulls will not give up any thing that the Lakers want. Rose? No I don't think so. The Lakers don't need Noah. What is the next option?
It's good news. Gasol is too old to be bothering with. This is the heart of the problem, Morey and Les have it backwards. Super Star first, role players afterwards. That might not be true for LA, NY, or Miami, but Houston is not a glamor city. We don't have that advantage.
they would probably want deng, gibson and the rights to Nikola Mirotic. they want absolutely nothing to do with boozer
