Yupp, its that time of year again - and now its time to have gotten all the stressful things over and done with. So can you feel the Christmas spirit yet - are you in your Christmas mood? What brings the feeling to you?

I've been decorating the tree, but I can't say that is it for me. But it won't be Christmas for me until I've made our Christmas egg salat and rather big one to, to make it last [IMG] Likely have to make another to make it last over New Years but after that we wont have it for a whole new year until Christmas comes along again. It won't be Christmas without it. So now the Christmas feeling starts to build - but of course it wont reach its peek until dinner time tomorrow night. Taking a big sip, and digging into the food - aaaahhhhh [IMG]

DaDakota's headline suggestion in the chat, after Mooch banked in - with the Fro - a three to give the Rockets their 3rd straight win to secure a 3-1 roadtrip.

I'll be in the Christmas spirit as soon as I have finished family duties and gotten back home to peace and quiet with my wife.

Every year my family makes me absolutely nuts (and each other for that matter) and yet I put myself through it. Next year, I think we are either going out of town or telling everyone we are and staying at home.

I hope everyone is having a great holiday. Mine will be great come about 4pm on Christmas day! [IMG]

    Here's my Christmas story:

Growing up as a child, my dad's family always hosted a huge family Christmas party at my grandfather's house. It was a big and much anticipated event. I saw many relatives for just the one time all year, but it was like we were old friends.

My grandfather died in 1985. Ever since, the party has shifted to my mom and dad's place. Likewise, many of the older relatives stopped attending, but a whole new group of people would be there. My sisters and their families, my brother and his son would all be there. All of this new generation did not know their great grandfather, so to them this party at my parents was THE big event of the season, just as my grandfather's party was for myself and my siblings.

Well, now it is the year 2000, and my parents are well into their 60's. My mom simply does not have the energy to put on this size extravaganza (and buffet) anymore. So last night, my wife and I were handed the reins to the family Christmas party. Everyone was there, all my siblings and most of my nieces and nephews, my own three kids, and my parents as well. I could see a tear in my mom's eye as she knew the tradition was being passed down, but they were tears of joy. (A side note: MAJOR props to my wife for the size and variety of foods and candies she cooked. She set a standard for herself to live up to!)

Anyway, I just wanted to say the spirit of Christmas, and the spirit of family togetherness that my grandfather started, is alive and well at my house this year.

Grandpa, I hope we did you proud.
