So i'm in a six team league and one of the teams just dropped CP3

I'm assuming I should snatch this up even if he rides the pine for a month ?

    Opinions ?

If you're in good position to make the playoffs I would pick him up. Even though he'll be out for a month, when he returns, he'll help you in the playoffs.

not sure how fantasy works during the playoffs but I assume the hornets have to make the playoffs in order for that to matter.......

Completely depends on your current position and the format of your league.

You are being offered the #14 pg for the #1 injured PG. What that means:

FT%/FG%/3pts: CP3 gets the slight edge in all the 3 (+2 for)

Pts: Monta is elite and rivaled here only by DWade who is more of SG (+1 Monta)

Rebs: Monta 4.2 Paul 4.6 (no pts)

    Asts: 11.2 CP3 vs. 5.3 Ellis (+2 for CP3)

Stls: 2.3 CP3 vs. 2.2 Ellis (no pts)

    Blks: irrelivant (no pts)

TOs: 2.5 CP3 vs. 4.2 Ellis (+1 CP3 - Don't overlook this. I played with Ellis and there will be games he gives you 7 TOs. However, if you are already losing everyweek in TOs or so far behind in Roto..who cares?)

What this comes down to, for me at least, is who else do you have for your Gs? If you have really strong Gs or some Fs who share the ball well you can take the hit at ASTs and make it work.

You are definitely selling low, but not dumping.

I traded Mo Williams and JR Smith for CP3 about 2 weeks ago. I'm #3 out of 12 in my H2H league and I'm starting Rondo for the next 3 weeks anyways (he plays 4 games a week).

So I have the PG locked up with Rondo which limited my risk. Meanwhile, Mo Williams isn't doing well coming back from his shoulder sprain and JR Smith is.. inconsistent at best.

I figure if CP3 comes back and puts up 5FTM/23PTM/20PTS/4REB/10AST/2STL for just one week of my playoffs, I'll be a genius. And I'll win. I just wish the Hornets played 4 games the final week of my fantasy season!
