http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1627008 Here is my favorite part of the article: Throughout his 16-year career, Dudley was among the league's top centers, recording his 5,000th rebound in 1999 while playing for the New York Knicks. Among the league's top centers?? BWAHAHAHAHA!! I remember that series he had against Portland in 1994. Hakeem abused Dudley so bad... Hopefully, every second of film that shows him shooting free throws will be permanently destroyed
I'm trying to think of FT shooters that were worse than Dudley and I am drawing a blank. I think even Shaq was better than he was.
Sad, sad day in the NBA. He will be missed. What are your memories of Chris Dudley? Mine was when he played for the Knicks, and they were in Los Angeles, and he threw the ball at shaq. That was funny.
I remember some team selecting him to come off the bench and shoot the free throws for an injured teammate. That was the first time I ever heard of him. And it was damn near hilarious.
Well, they talked about all his charitable stuff, and Mo Cheeks and Van Gundy had great things to say about him, but "one of the league's top centers"? Hell, might as well put Kelvin Cato in the Hall of Fame while we're at it...
I will miss Dudley. He was a banger and a worker with probably the most awful offensive game of any player who ever lived. Playing with diabetes and yet having the long and successful career C-Dud did is a tribute to him not only as a player, but as a person. Good luck Dudley, you'll be successful in whatever you do. Playing a bit of defense on Zo Arms raised in triumph Trying to score on Raef LaFrentz
First Ferry, now Dudley.... Ah man, the white guys quotent is going down in the NBA, time for some affirmitive action. We need MORE Dan Langhis..... DD Sarcasm intended.
Well, unless Rudy T gets a head coaching job on another team, I see the influx of skinny white guys decreasing tremendously...
i met chris dudley, a couple of times. wonderfull man, with alot indearing qualities. i tell you having met patterson, i mean ruben scumbag ******* patterson, chris was TRUE GENTELMAN. some of the other supposed role models in the league could take a lesson in being a good guy from him....
For the record. Chris Dudley's career 45.5% free throw percentage is the worst in NBA history. I bet steve kerr could do better blind folded.
