I was thinking the same thing. I thought Ensberg had 3rd base FULL TIME now that they got BLUM out of here. I guess i was wrong. I guess the Rockets aren't making the playoffs.
What do you think we are en route to doing.....we lose tomight and its over...sure there will still be a glimmer of hope, but we in houston have seen this too many times. All we have to do is when at least 2 of our remaing 5 games and what happens we go 1 and 4 with the 1 win being the last game of the season. Seen it too many times...we win tonight we have a chance we lose......well
Believe it...We are not going to the playoffs... I don't think we can stop the bleeding...This will be the last straw for Francis and he'll be gone, building around Yao, which will be a good thing...
We WILL be in the playoffs, but how far will we go? It's possible we will remain on a losing streak to the end of the season, but I doubt it. The sun must shine sometime. Like most, I am disappointed in the Rockets' play over the last 15 games, but they will snap out of their funk. They are learning that they can't sit back and let other teams do their dirty work for them.
I do not understand why so many folks here are in agony. I mean, it's not like we haven't seen this sort of thing before from the current case of characters before - remember they have been a lottery team for the past 4 years. That's not something that happens to championship caliber teams. What you see is what you get - this is your Houston Rockets. By now, EVERYONE should be used to their erratic, dumb and inconsistent level of play. Only those folks who ODed on Rockets Red Koolaid at the beginning of the season (and there were a LOT of you) should feel bad about the team's fortunes. Their record shows that they are trapped on a merry-go-round of mediocrity and until changes are made in personnel and the organization, one should not expect much to change in the future.
Man this is brutal. All the pain and suffering the last few years would finally pay off in a playoff spot. Now, even that's in doubt. This is so ridiculously frustrating, they spent all year earning this and now they're just throwing it away. God please let them beat the Clippers. That's right, I'm begging god to help the Rockets beat the LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS! It's come to that people!
I'd love to see the newspaper headlines say "Choke City" again. It was a slap-in-the-face wakeup call to the rockets years ago, and it spurred a come-from-behind playoffs victory over the suns. I think our current Rox need that slap. -- droxford
