Pretty cool email I got. Try it out..

    This is cool chocolate math!
DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It only takes about a minute.......
Work this out as you read.
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.....

    1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate. (try for more than once but less than 10)

    6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born. (if you remember)

The first digit of this was your original number (i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are your age!

Then you didn't do it right, unless you put zero.

It will work next year if you change 1751 to 1752 and 1750 to 1751

lol. This isn't the only year it'll work... all you have to do is change the 1750/1751 value. It's been working for a few years now. [IMG]

If you chose 2 (which is x below) days for chocolate and were born in 1970 :

    (2x + 5) * 50 + 1750 - 1970

Notice you're always adding 250 and 1750 (or 1751) to no matter what you select... hmmm... 250+1750(1) = 2000(1) - year you were born will always give you your age 'cause that's how you calculate age! Hmmm... and 50 * 2x will always yield the number of days you want chocolate times 100... which is why that value will always be in the hundreds place.

Commutative and associative properties of mathematics can be fun. You tell that to kids and they puke. But make a cool little trick out of it and you're a freakin' DEITY! [IMG]

Damn I needed a mental workout and that was fun. Thanks Francis3!

    DoD,

Are you some freaky mind reader, man? I was born in 1970, and I chose 2 times a week for chocolate. I want to warn you now dude -Jedi Mind Tricks won't work on me!

We think alike. If you're female and over 21, I'll take you out. You'll enjoy it. If you're a dude, ignore my desperate plea. [IMG]

Anyway, I was born in 1970 and yes, I picked 2, too.

    ... hehe... I said "tutu"
