Why do they bother you that much, giddup? Would they be OK with you if they bought more Danish cheese?

basso??? Has he even replied in this thread?

I don't have a problem with anything the Dixie Chicks say. They are entitled to their opinion.

I can see from the title that this is supposed to be a serious thread.

It was a good story. After I watched it, and before The Sopranos started, I got online and listened to some snippets of their new CD, and I do believe it is the best one they have ever done. They are moving away from country to a more country rock sound, and it sounds good.

Apparently, the redneck crackers of the world still don't like them, and that is a good thing, IMHO.

Any Bush bashing artist is a good artist.

So, anyone who disagrees with them (and you) is a redneck cracker?

Well - generally, when I (or others) speak out against the Bush Junta, we get labeled terrorist-sympathizing liberal commies.

I'm not sure if you've ever done that per say, but the indignation you feign is pretty ironic.

Nope, not at all. From what I have seen, the anti-Dixie Chick sentiment has come from the Nashville Pop/Nascar wing of country music fandom, rather than the Alternative Country/Austin wing of country music fandom, and the Redneck Cracker faction definitely falls under the former, rather than the later.

Gwayneco...what would you call the person who made a death threat against Natalie Maines in Dallas? A patriot? A red blooded American?

I am somewhat suspicious about whether it even happened. The whole point of that interview was for the Chickies to play the persecution card, and I don't believe anything Niwtit Maines says without verification.

All I would like to see is a link to story in which the source is some one other than Natalie Maines or somebody connected to the Chicks. Preferrably this would be a law enforcement official in Dallas. I don't deny that it might have happened, but I'm skeptical.

You are always whining and playing the persecution, victim card concerning people with brown skin or immigrants. You should know a lot about the persecution card.
