    Somewhat international hoop related.

    Ran across many sina forums. posters voted Yao was a commercial outcome of yesteryday; the new hero is Liu Xiang, also from Shanghai, a monster hurdler brought the first ever gold in track for China.

    Yao needs step up to keep his top star status.

    It's not forgetting. It's more to do who accomplish what and that Liu guy totally deserve that accolade for the moment.

    What did you expect? That guy brought them a gold medal. Yao didn't.

    yao will be playing 82 times a year atleast, for the next 4 years. we will see liu xiang in 4 years. the people will forget. ohh yes, they will forget.

    I don't know why this is repeated so often online, but Liu Xiang is NOT the first track gold for China, although his performance was really impressive.

    i've never seen an asian male athlete win a running event before and i was shocked and thought YEAH!
