The 22 games winning streak was really based on the chemistry. When T-Mac was out in January, rockets developed a very good chemistry during a month streak. Even we lost to Celtics, Jazz in January, most of the losses were still close games. After T-Mac came back, he put himself into the system that lead to a 12 games winning until Yao was out. After yao was out, Deke, Landry, Rafer and T-Mac had some very nice games that led the winning streak expand to 22. I found the team chemistry was going worse little by little in the last several games in the winning streak. We hardly beat Atlanta and Charlotte. When the winning streak was end, most of us thought we were exhaust. But the real reason was the bad chemistry, now our team chemistry is as bad as December. That's why we got blown out in severqal games recently..This kind of blow out never happened to a good team. We lost over 20 in 3 of last 7 games against good teams, while hardly won teams like Minnesoda.
You said it yourself, we lost to good teams, good teams, good teams, we are still ok. We are beating the teams we should be and are having a little trouble with the better teams, chemistry does not play a big role, simply run the offense and play that Houston D and we should perform better.
The issue lies within our offensive attack. We have to cut more, vary our offense and post up. We won't win anything if they just keep walking it up and handing it to tmac hoping he will bail everyone out. Tmac and Rafer aren't shooting well but Adleman has to get on the team about running his offense. Sometimes the jumpers won't fall but they need to keep the defense guessing so that when they do get hot they have the proper space to get their shots off.
So your saying that the chemistry is only bad when we lose? You can have good chemistry and still get your asses blown out.
Chemists are dumbasses, physicists are where it's at. My physics tells me that this team is on the right trajectory toward the NBA Finals. All joking aside, it will take a while for everything to click 100% of the time, one bad loss doesn't merit and reaction other than "oh crap that sucks".
It's amazing how this comes out, when Yao is out and we are getting pound by playoff contenders with bigger lineups than us. Chemistry is apparently only good against midget teams and lotto teams. Of course, we have been sucking the last few games without low post presence.
There is not less ball movement in offensive end. There are too much challenged shot we took now. Probably we missed Yao's presence, but we can do much better than now.
Okay, I still think the Boston loss was because David Stern bought that game. NO wasn't that bad of a loss and we were really tired from Boston. The only game I consider to be a bad loss other than Spurs would be the Pho town one, and to be honest, we gritted it out till the last minute. One bad loss.
coaching is the problem. why would you let a guy who is in pain play while you have healthy guys on the bench.
