You know how I know this is a made up story? You expect me to believe ATW and DeSantis are at a restaurant full of Muslims?

 

Noting the difference in the headline/article and the actual quote that it is referring to:

Now, sources tell British newspaper the Telegraph that the "official view" within the U.K.'s leadership is that the virus did indeed escape from the Chinese lab, though government officials are more open about that view in private than in public.

"I think the official view [within Government] is that it is as likely as anything else to have caused the pandemic. A lot of people like myself think it is more likely. I think attitudes have changed a little bit. The zoonotic transfer theory just didn’t make sense," Cambridge bio-security fellow Hamish de-Bretton Gordon told the paper.​

One expert is giving his opinion and his impression about the "official view" of the government (though strange to call it official when it isn't a publicly stated view). Fox News takes that and says that the official view of the UK leadership is that the virus came from a lab.

 

Neither of those articles support the Fox News headline or the statement in the article that the "official position" of the UK government is that the virus came from a lab. Better to just report it as something like: "Lab origin theory is viewed as the more likely explanation among an increasing number of scientists who advise the UK government".
