So it's below average at worst, that means its average or above at best, I'll take that with the numbers he's been putting up recently. Good call Kruze.

The thing that Budinger is doing now, that he wasn't doing in the past is attacking the basket. He has a 49 inch vertical with decent handles and his finally starting to take advantage of it.

Truth be told I wouldn't mind if Budinger would become the first option on offense at the wing position, to help his development...

Chase should have earned his spot as a starter after he played like an established veteran/star last season in that one game he started against the pistons. I'm not surprised from his performance. Skip to my Duke had to go.

Chase, I'm sorry that your skin is the same color as your hair. It's great to see you overcome your handicap and top your previous career high two games in a row. Couple of tasty dunks tonight, too. Keep it up.

His confidence issue scares me, and it would become a problem during the playoffs.

I like that he has been extremely aggressive, and he's rebuilding his trade value now.

It's very possible that by the end of this season his value would peak. Perhaps Morey would make the right choice and actually package him and a few other pieces for a superstar instead of hold on to him like Brooks.

Chase might be getting back on the high horse, but I do not think he is ready yet to dunk over an actual black guy ;) Slowly though we will all have the posterization posters hanging up all over town

No way. AB was very good on the offense end but his D even when healthy was not very good. Dragic is another Lowry that just flat out hustles on both ends of the floor something AB never did on the D side of the court.

Besides his defensive issues, I always thought Budinger's biggest problem was his stamina. His shot and aggressiveness is really affected when he doesn't have his legs completely under him.

I'm looking forward to seeing how he fares in the next three games in four nights, especially when he has to defend Ariza tonight and Roy/Wallace on Tuesday.

I think his defense fits in perfectly for an All*Star game.

Also, I like how he's been more aggressive offensively lately. Lots of driving to the hoop. I'm not sure why he doesn't do that more often..

It's because he gets intimidated by shot blockers.

Patience with young players who have done it before is a good thing.

Morey talked about none of the players stepping up, but I never heard anything about the crowded roster limiting their opportunities.

Bud is not a finished product by any stretch, but just like any player he needs time on the floor to find out what he can do, how he can stretch his game, and what he can't do.

Same for any of the Rockets players, IMO, people give up on players far too fast, there are tons of good players that struggled finding their way in the NBA and flourished after a time.

I am glad Chase is finding his way, but I suspect he will have a few bumps along the way.

Let's try not to bash him for those bumps.

While im quite pleased with Bud's last two games, its hardly time to pronounce his elevation to being a starter a success.

You can bet upcoming teams will scout him more and look for ways to shut him down. Being a starter, he cannot duck under other teams radar any longer. Teams will adjust. In a week or two, lets see how he is doing.

All I can say is Chase is a much better fit in Adelman's offensive system than Shane ever could be, and Lowry playing with him should significantly improve his productivity.

I think this really is the best offensive squad and system the Rockets have had in quite some time. Too bad it's wasted on this poor defensive and poor crunch time team.

I think you are about right.
    Chase has the skill set.

I think as with most of the team . .
they need to focus more on Defense.
I don't think this is the greatest team ever assembled
but I honestly think they have underperformed

Off course he is a great help fpr Scola a Martin, they are no more the only scorers in the starting line up. And he can upgrade his defence.
    Great Game Bud!!!
