To even things out. CBud has been shooting relatively well with the 2nd unit. He is not a starter but can be a productive player once in a while... Stop shooting so many threes, develop your midrange game, develop a post game....defend better, assist and rebound more, steals and blocks are also welcome.... make yourself more efficient signed a fan PS..... I hope we get a better player
Why can't you be consistent Bud I still support you, but I'm losing my patience with your up and downs
Bud went 7/16 and well enough to make you think he had a good game. HOWEVER, he blew 2-3 layups/dunks that should have been automatic he also was 2/7 on mostly WIDE open 3s. Also, his main defensive assignment was against Batum and his 6 treys/4blocks. That is not a good job by any standard. You are still FAIL in my book.
Bud almost got 40 mins tonight so the coaches must've liked what he was doing. he seemed more aggressive to me. he missed a few shots but we need him to play like that all the time.
parsons didnt get respect from the refs. They called some bs calls on him, they probably didn't expect a good white defensive stopper.
CBud responded to the coaches by upping his effort on defense and being aggressive going to the basket. Problem was recognition. Batum was hot yet he kept helping off of him. He got the minutes because Parsons was in foul trouble. Parsons was better matched with Batum. In the few minutes he was on him, he got a steal and block off Batum. Wallace was a problem for him though. I don't mind CP25 and CBud sharing minutes at the SF and coaches closing with the one playing better. For defensive purposes, we saw CBud and CP25 playing alongside each other.
He was very aggressive off the ball last night and opened up Luis and Kevin for some easy layups... Chase has played with Lowry, Kevin and Luis for 2 years, and Chase always seem to have good vision and spacing with them... Chase played intensive D against the Blazers, but he is still SHORT compared to 6-9 Chandler ...
He takes what the defense gives him (his own words) so I guess it was not on him but because the defense allowed or 'gave' him to get those points. Martin used the exact same words after last night, which has Adelman's instructions all over it In his system it was the right thing to do, though not always, but now we don't need that mentality. We need "I am going to make something happen, create something out of nothing" type of mentality. Kind of like Wafer only then with brains so not all out attack the basket whenever you feel like it. I will give Bud time to adjust but if he keeps missing defensive assignments, hang his head and just takes what the defense gives him, I see Morris taking his spot next year.
Bud had an okay game today, nothing spectacular, but off the bench he was okay, same numbers as parsons. He is starting to finally "get it"
Best game this season so far with 20+ points.... being aggressive do it against 0.50 above teams hopefully
Chase can shoot and he was open a lot so I don't care about his teammates stats. I was impressed with his effort like when he tried to draw a charge on McGee on a fastbreak though. I am more concerned if he can do this every night.
