If you're looking for a detail oriented NBA writer, check out Charley Rosen. He used to be more of a regular on FoxSports until recently. He makes even games between the Clippers and the T-Wolves seem interesting to me. http://msn.foxsports.com/writer/Charley_Rosen http://www.fanhouse.com/staff/charley-rosen/ There are several here that don't like Charley because he doesn't gush over everything Rockets, but if you read his analysis, it's 80% objective and 20% subjective. My favorite sports writer, just thought I'd pass on to my clutchfan buddies!
My problem with Rosen is he does "one game" coverage and then views players that way the entire season. For example, if he watched a Clippers game and Griffin had a terrible game he's say Griffin sucks and he's totally unimpressed with him for the entire season.
Fair enough. I've found that his analysis is usually "spot on" and through his work has watched most players for years. He's a big Carl Landry fan and also Shane Battier.
Also, I love his brutal honesty: "Corey Maggette -- 2 of 6, zero assists, 2 TOs, 9 points -- is worthless without the ball in his hand, and his one-on-one game was contained by Boston's alertly choreographed defense."
