Changing my attitude. I want to be the first to say I have lost site of what it means to be a fan of the Rockets. But I am changing my attitude, I am a Houston native and have watched the Rockets since the Chaney days. I am a converted lurker….And finding it more and more addicting to responding. I have battled myself until I can no longer stand it. I have read countless threads and post. We all have some form of love for the Rockets or we would not be wasting time on this site voicing opinions. The Rockets are not The Houston Oilers, not the Astros, they are the Rockets. The same Rockets that brought us two championships and countless playoff appearances. The same Rockets that have made constant trades that has kept our franchise in contention. Unlike the Astros. The same Rockets that kept the Dream around for 17 seasons so that we could cheer our hearts out. The same Rockets that held victory parties in the dome for fans like me to be involved. The same Rockets that have thought us to “Never under estimate the heart of a champion” And the same Rockets that I have been to hard on for this short period of time. But I am changing my attitude, It is difficult to watch the ISOS and all of the standing around but I believe in my heart that this will get better and better once the supporting cast starts to become just that, a “Supporting Cast”. It just makes since that once the other players start to become more comfortable with one another Steve and Cat’s “Perceived” selfish play will diminish. They simply still need to learn how to play as a team. There are several positives that I am going to start dwelling on instead of the negatives. Some positives, Cato’s play, Although it is still early. Hawk with his D, And he passes to the post. Use of the Zone, At least at times. Challening everything in the paint. Eddie playing down low. The crowd getting involved. At least for Yao. I won’t even go into the negatives because…….., I am changing my attitude. I want to ride the ride and believe! Once we reach the mountain top it will be that much more sweet. “How Sweet It Is” we have these Rockets. BUT I do reserve the right to change yet once again. Reform of a Lifetime Rockets fan.
