In two playoff games: 34 shots 0 assists 0 free throws So not only is he being selfish, but he is also not drawing shooting fouls. Thats horrible for someone as talented as he is and all the the touches he gets. He got KD to bite when he faked that three at the end and avoided the contact. That should have been 3 FTs with the clock stopped. Some of this is due to inexperience, but donuts in both categories is not acceptable, especially free throws.
He is still young and on a very favorable contract. Morey would be crazy to trade him unless it was for a Love/LMA type player
I really dont want him gone...at all...but he just may be too pricey......here's to hoping the Rockets can keep this stud...somehow
Morey won't trade him unless he can get a star-caliber player in return. He's really shrinking in these playoffs but he's still on the best contract in the nba.
since the whipping boy didn't play in the second half, i guess we have to move on to another and keep bringing that juju to the garm.
I'm generally very harsh on most LOF's, but I'll give you that one. Parsons all but shot us out of the game but no one really commented on it. By contrast, Lin missed a three at the end of the half and everyone was in an uproar.
I wasnt suggesting he should be traded or benched. I wrote he is too talent for that lack of output. He should have noticed it the first game and not repeated it this game. I am hoping he takes notice and does not go for the trifecta.
Oh come on... Who is he going to pass to? CP typically gets the ball with less than 15 seconds left in the shot clock. At that point, he is either open or is driving to the bucket. Not to mention, CP is the only player who is slashing to the basket. I'd rather CP throw up a floater than pass it to someone standing around the 3 point line and not trying to get open or slash.
actually parsons was getting criticism in the game thread. he just doesn't have a cult following him and making excuses for him like other rockets players.
I'd like to use him in a trade to get our hands on Cousins or Love, and then try to pick up Gordon Hayward to replace him. Similar player, and not just because he's white. As much as I like him, his value is about as high as it'll ever be, especially with his contract, and we can use that to get that second star we need to get to the next level.
True, his play style definitely isn't the type that is going to get a ton of assists. But still, 34 shots, 0 assists, 0 free throws is pretty glaring.
He isnt being patient. He isnt good enough to go Harden on teams. He has to pass the ball to get others involved and that also opens the game up for himself. Too many fading shots and rushed layups. He is making the game harder on himself and not getting freebies only makes it worse. He has had no offensive rhythm.
