Out of the following, who is the best? Best to me means little, if any, dropped calls. I use about 200-400 minutes per month. 1. Cingluar 2. Verizon 3. Sprint PCS 4. Voice Stream 5. AT&T Thanks for the comments.
I use Cingular and I get great coverage all over the city, but there is the occasional dropped call, but it isnt very often. I have unlimited nights and weekends from them too, and I really enjoy that because thats when Im on the phone most of the time.
sprint pcs sucks... in fact that is the display message on my phone... dropped calls all the time and NEVER good service throughout the state of TX... i would tell everyone to steer clear... hmmm... yeah i'm bitter! i'm stuck with sprint! yuck!
I have been using VoiceStream for the past 2 years and I havent had to many complaints. The reception is excellent around town and havent had too many bad expierences. I have the 600 weekday and unlimited weekends plan plus 500 messages for $50 a month (incl. taxes). I can even use those 500 messages for AIM and I have a service setup to give me a message everytime I recieve an email.
VoiceStream here as well. 39.99 for 2000weekend and 600 weekday minutes. I've used them with little or zero problems for the past two years. This works great for me, which 600 weekday minutes is about 30 minutes per weekday, just enough for stupid little on the go calls back and fro to your friends. BTW:The Nokia 3390 is a great little phone too!
imho, AT&T is the best, but Cingular is good too. i've had both, but i opted to go with AT&T. 900 anytime minutes and unlimited nights and weekends for 49.99 a month plus B/S taxes and fees. my bill is usually around 62 bucks a month.
drapg ain't lyin', Sprint sucks here in Austin too. I'm considering trashing 2 $300 phones just to change providers.
Thats the same phone I got and just added this nifty thing to it. Its the Matrix autoslide faceplate. Very cool!
My roommate had a faceplate like that -- except his was silver, and it was for the SMALLER Nokia. I have Voicestream (with the 3390 as well). $50 for 3000 anytime minutes. I don't use NEARLY that much, but I didn't want to be worrying about "well, do I have enough minutes . . . " or anything like that, so I just sprung for it. For the first day or two, I had a few problems with bad connections, lost calls, etc. But it quickly cleared up, and now I never have a problem. Sometimes I don't get a strong signal, but I can still use the phone just fine. Oh, and if you're looking to purchase a package deal or whatever, do it at Sam's. They have a small phone place inside. I did a LOT of research and visits to all kinds of places before I bought my phone (December), and I eventually realized how much better Sam's was. Service was great, and the phone was practically free.
Thanks for the help. I will probably go with Cingular or AT&T. I have Spring right now and I lose way too many calls. Any advice on which phones are good? I like the Motorola V60. I think that is the right model number.
