How about Rogers and draft pick for Cedric Ceballos. There are a couple of reason's for this trade: - Ced is not really involved in the rotation for Miami, only palying 12 min a game. - Miami could use another big man w/o Zo. - Ced is a free agent after this yr. - Everyone loves draft picks! - Career 50% shooter Ced plays really well in an offense that plays w/o an inside game. This part of Ced's game was exposed when he played w/ Shaq. He is not really an outside shooter, but would provide some experience that Walt han't shown. He is also good at a lost Rocket art form, cutting to the basket. Hey, he had more rebounds than Mo last year playin SF. What do ya think, only 3 days left? ------------------ "Chucky who? I thought we were talking about basketball?" Charles Barkley
Ced and Walt play two different kind of SF. Ced can plays inside, scores, and gets more rebounds (6 reb or more 9 yrs) vs williams gets more assists and shoots better from the outside. Ced could help our our rebounding and the push to the playoffs. Plus he is an FA worth around 5 mil to the cap next yr. ------------------ "Chucky who? I thought we were talking about basketball?" Charles Barkley
Ceballos is a has-been headcase(aka Vernon Jr.). No way Rudy would even entertain that thought. ------------------
He is also out of shape, which is why he is on the Miami bench. ------------------ When we tire of well-worn ways, we seek for new. This restless craving in the souls of men spurs them to climb, and to seek the mountain view. -- Ella Wheeler Wilcox
Lets trade the wiz for a couple hot cheerleaders. At least we get SOMETHING! ------------------ May I have another Snowball Clutch? Please may I? Ill be a good little mole.... I promise.
Walt for Cedric would be fine with me. Then waive him, now or later. Ceballos should go somewhere, if only because of his cap-clearing contract. ------------------
Ceballos has always been something of an enigma to me. Remember when he led the league in scoring midway through the season or so? That's HARD to do no matter how bad your team is. I mean, 16 points can be the Clipper-Effect... but in the 20's? The guy had some major scoring ability. yet he's effectively disappeared... makes me wonder why. ------------------ Why is it that everytime BC defeats a major conference opponent, that opponent promptly goes on a losing streak? PS. Notre Dame sucks
I know that Ced has burned the Rockets for 40 point games on numerous occasions, if that means anything... ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."
For one thing, the salaries don't match up, since Rogers makes a little more than half of Ceballos salary, so that trade can't happen. Secondly, we'd be a better team going into the playoffs with Rogers, rather than Ceballos. We don't need more scorers. Since Miami wants Rogers, and likes Williams, I would trade Rogers/Williams for Ceballos/Green, both of who's contracts are up this summer, clearing over 6 mil off our cap for pursuing whomever this summer. And no draft pick! This is the best draft in many years. If there is any way to trade anyone to get a draft pick, that would be priority. ------------------ the more I know, the more I know I don't know...
No way would I ever want Cedric Ceballos aka Cedric Ce-ball-hawg. He has never understood what it means to play like a team. He never saw a shot he did'nt like. When you pass the ball to him all five defenders can converge on him if they want to because he ain't passin the rock to no one. ------------------
