Sure, Steve Francis doesn't have espn, doesn't have a computer, doesn't listen to the radio, or read the paper, he sits in a basement with his cell phone and pager turned off and reads Emerson and Thoreau all summer while smoking his pipe. Get real man, Francis would of had a clue as soon as the Rockets made an offer. And you have to make an offer, first, before they can accept it. That offer was made, and the Orlando Magic stalled, and took other offers, then leaked out the offers they recieved to the Orlando Sentinal. And there you have it, Francis had to come out of his basement in washington dc and turn on his pager and cell phone and make his stand. CD's not at fault here, don't forget that man played a big part in getting your boy Yao to come here. Don't let the likes of HillBoy turn you against CD, that dude has never had one positive thing to say about the Rockets, ever. Relax and cut CD some slack. You'll get your wish.
i am probalby overeacting, by blaming it on cd. But i am pretty worried and pissed that if the trade dosent go down we are gonna be put in a really bad situation.
I think CD did it because basically everybody does it and if you don't, you are sending a message to other agents and players that you can't be trusted.
Damn - this has creeped into TWO threads (I admit I put it in the other) Houston is TRADE HAPPY ! (where are the Texans baby... REPRESENT !)
It would be quite horrible to not inform one of your star players, and let him hear it through the grapevine since everyone and their dog was bound to hear about all of the talk. Think about all of those other teams that weren't even close to finalizing the trade, yet we heard a bunch of other names. Not CD's fault.
