Nothing groundbreaking. Team took steps in the right direction this year. Looking to add a couple peices in the offseason. Yao is going to stay a little while in Houston but will go back for the Asian games. We finally have the expiring contracts that can bring Shaq in as our PF.
Do i have to bring this back? <img src="http://www.imagehosting.us/imagehosting/showimg.jpg/?id=444038" alt="Image Hosted by imagehosting.us" />
Hey, I'm all for Shaq being motivated and trimming down but I sure as hell don't want no thin, weak-ass looking Shaq like that on the Rockets!
Why do you even want Shaq at this point of his career? O'neal is almost 33 years old. He'll soon enter a rapid decline period, the same thing that we saw at the end of Hakeem's career. Shaq has played awful in the playoffs this year so far. And he's making 20 million+ bucks a year. I still think that the Lakers did the right thing refusing extending that contract. The Heat will be in a very tough situation next summer. Do they give Shaq a three-year extension as he wants? I seriously doubt it.
1. The Heat would be absolutely stupid to NOT give Shaq an extention. Who would they have start in his place while he's off playing for another team? Alonzo Mourning? Christian Laettner? The only center marginally close to Shaq is Yao and he's not going anywhere. Btw, I personally marvel at the fact Yao has played better than Shaq in the playoffs even if it was spanning the 1st and 2nd rounds. 2. The Lakers weren't close to making the playoffs this year and arguably are the worst team in California right now and may be for a long time when the other teams in California are as young as they are. They made the right decision? Ok..... 3. No one is serious about bringing Shaq here. It is a joke. I hope you already knew that.
WHAT?! I thought Yao was spending the entire summer in Houston!? I was talking about it all night tonight with some buddies at a party.
but doesn't he have to go back and train with them and play some exhibition games, as they always do?
Shaq? What is he, like, 40? What the hell has he ever won? Please. Just pick up somebody in the draft who can get us a few boards.
if the chinese government doesn't want to be bombed into the stone age they'll let yao stay here for a lonnnnnnnnnnnnng time.
