I've noticed lately when burning certain tracks on cd-r's that I get these weird sounding digital blips and bleeps in the song, but these noises never show up when I just play the sound file from my computer. Anyone have any idea what causes this? Is it a problem with my cd-burner or is it a problem with the audio files? It's annoying because a whole cd will burn fine, but then one or two songs will have weird noises every 5-10 seconds throughout the song.

I get them too. I think it is when your processer gets overloaded like when it downloads mail or some other stealth programs during theh burn, but I'm just guessing.

Whatever you do, I'd be sure and list all of my contact info on the web so the authorities in the recording industry can track you down and help you with your problem. :p

Are these "digital blips and bleeps in the song" that "never show up when [you] just play the sound file on [your] computer" SKIPS, or what exactly do you hear?

It could be anything, from the quality of the CD-R to the quality of the CD Writer. Shut down programs that scan items on your machine, like virus scanners, ad-aware programs, etc., and try again.

Who's to say that I didn't buy the songs on itunes. :p

Btw, I got the problem fixed. It was either 1) dirty cd-writer lens or 2) the program I was using.

Not sure which one because I cleaned it and started using the other program directly after that.

i had this problem with nero, i switched over to roxio and it was fixed.

i guess its the burning program may not have like my burner. my computer has more than enough resources and processing power to have not it be a buffer issue
