Cav's coach?

Why is Gund pursuing a splash name coach for his team? The Cavs will max out their fan base with LeBron. They are the team who should be going after the Eddie Jordans of the NBA.

Well, if you had your choice between Larry Brown and a coach with a 33-64 career record, which one would YOU choose? It's not like there aren't any good coaches out there to choose from...

Maybe they want to actually turn their team around and be competitive?

OK, ok, valid points. However it will cost 1-2 mil more per year to attract a splash-name coach to Cleveland than elsewhere, or about the same a good assistant would command.

That is 5-6 mil savings per year, and that = a lot of Cleveland fannies sitting out the Gund.
