The thrill of the hunt of getting for free is fun, but I've been paying more for content of late. Its still WAY CHEAPER now to get almost anything you want compared to 20 years ago. Getting VHS tapes, and vinyl records, and cassettes, AND cds, AND video rentals all at the same time? AND the fuel cost having to drive everywhere to get each item, and the waste of time of the drive itself. Its worth the extra annual 100 bucks for the digital convenience to keep the feds off your back. (With teh prons, forget it. They'll never recoup their losses and people will never pay. Cuz the whole issue with adult stuff is people want to do it PRIVATELY and discreetly with no PAPER trail. I'd rather pay cash at the local pron shop than have my name and personal info in some xxx database )
I download a LOT of stuff. I don't know why this one episode of House got some 'external copyright holder' on my ass.
Demonoid is a long way off from the private tracker sites that are tougher to get into, such as what.cd. If you have a bad ratio there you'll lose access pretty quickly and will have a b**** of a time ever getting it back.
There isn't anything on What.CD that I can't find on Demonoid or BTJunkie. I've never once searched for an album or an entire discography that I couldn't find on public and not-so-exclusive sites.
Yeah, I'm sure perfectly ripped EAC FLAC rips are available all over Demonoid and BTJunkie for anything and everything I'm looking for. I prefer my FLACS properly ripped, tagged, and with no chance of a virus via private sites. To each their own I guess.
Why dont you just go home to watch it, don't you go to Rice? Also, all school send those messages, not really a big deal.
It's great how the giant media conglomerates are getting lots of institutions to gang up on single users. You'd think they are all looking out for one another's best interests at our expense.

I've been googling more and more lately. Jdownloader is pretty handy for the cheap and patient. I used to be crazy for collecting private torrent sites, but it gets tiring keeping up a ratio when I don't need much stuff I can't buy. My waffles and that other site has been inactive. It'd probably take a really good site like bitmetv to get me back in it. I think it'd be different if Demonoid went down. As for torrenting, it was designed with a loose and open foundation. A private tracker will light up to your ISP as much as a public tracker. The only difference is that most ISP don't care unless they get mails from lawyers. A school OTOH is a much different ISP.
Get off your ass, get a job and buy the show. Is it worth tarnishing your academic record or risk expulsion over a tv show?
You will never be expelled for something like that that being said, House is available for free on many legal sites, not sure why he wouldn't watch it there.
Depends on your tracker. demonoid is late at updating theres, so obviously they can't expect their members to have an accurate idea of their ratios when demonoid themselves dont enforce it. Waffles and others are a bit more willing to sanction you for leeching and not seeding. BS is relative.
How does the University know who's laptop is downloading the torrents? BTW which University do you go to?
