do you think the rockets should/could work a sign and trade with the raptors to get keon clark for kelvin cato?
Of course we should, but assuming the Raptors are sober when we propose the deal, they will never do it.
I don't really know if Clark is a C in the Wild Wild West. I heard that he tried to wear high socks, but couldn't because his legs were so rail-thin that they'd slip down.
I wouldn't mind doing this deal straight up at all as long as Clark's contract isn't for more than 3-4 years. I think both players are about equal in potential, it's just the attitude that could make one better than the other. Only problem is I haven't heard the greatest things about Keon's attitude from Toronto fans. B
I'll tell you right now that Clark is locked up with the Raptors so there's no way in hell that would happen even if the trade wasn't ridiculously lopsided
The trade won't happen simply b/c Toronto doesn't have any money. They are close to letting Clark walk unless he takes the MCE b/c they are right up against the luxury tax. The Raptors are aboyt 4mil away from the tax and the MCE is all they are willing to pay Clark so there is no way they would excede the tax by 3mil to get Kelvin Cato. That would be beyond stupid but like AstroKid said, if we can get them drunk right before we make the proposal, I wouldn't mind getting Clark for Cato one bit.
Give me a center that plays with more desire and heart than Cato, and I will give you a trade Cato thread.
No No No. We have enough pfs. Clark might be tall but he is not a center! Besides, I have read numerous articles that say Clark is looking for a pay day and then he will go back to his lazy ways. That is why Toronto hasn't signed him already.
ok some people dont seem to understand...WE NEED CATO. yao wont come in right away and play big minutes, and i dont know about you, but we CANNOT have jason collier playing extensive minutes. we need to stay with cato for at least one more year. WE.......NEED.....CATO. you can not trade your starting big man for another power forward.
I think Cato is built better for the Western Conference and Keon's built for the East. He'd be more like a power forward in the West, and we have a glut of those...But hey, we could resign Kevin Willis and trade him BACK to the Raptors for Clark...maybe
