I know the Rockets lost the heartbreaker against the Bulls, but they would never have even been in the game if Cato hadn't had such a great game. He scored, he rebounded on both ends of the floor and had some monster defensive plays (including that sick block against Fizer). Considering how porous some of our perimeter players were on the defenisive end, it's a wonder that he didn't foul out of the game trying to stop the Bulls driving to the hoop. Obviously, the guy isn't the most consistent of players in the league, but we should at least give him his due recognition.
He had a great game. He completely shut down the Bulls front court although Fizer had 20 (most coming against EG, the Wiz, and Tmo). I know i'm asking a lot of him but if he was anywhere near consistent with his free throws (this goes for Kenny too) we'd be ahead of at least the Suns in the standings right now. Looking back on the game against the bulls in particular, free throws are the reason we lost.
Yeah, it looks like we finally found a level of competition that Cato can dominate, high school kids & grey haired old men.
Kelvin was fantastic last night, the block against Fizer, the block and saving the ball against Best - the numerous offensive rebounds in the first quarter when the shots weren't falling.
one of the best improvements cato has made is finishing layups. earlier he couldn't even make a layup alone in practice, but it seems like he has developed a nice little touch. he also has pretty nice hands now which is making him very dangerous when the guards are double teamed. i like it.
Cato's biggest improvement has been in his effort. In the past, he was just participating. Now he seems to really be trying hard most of the time. His defense is SO much better when he tries. Maybe he can inspire rest of the team with his effort. R0ckets03: Count me in. Where do i get my app?
He was good last night, but then he'll backdoor that with a 5pt 2 rebs game. Just be consistent, don't tease everyone all the time. Thats why people have a problem and appreciate players like Dale Davis and PJ Brown. Its true neither are world beaters, but you knew what you were going to get evry night. 10-12 pts ,8-11 rebs thats what was giving every night.
