oh yeah gr8-1, my cats sleep w/ or around me. We have three cats... two 6 year old sisters and another girl that's a year old. Marta and Gretel, the sisters, no longer sleep w/ me b/c of my wife (sometimes Gretel sleeps on my feet). But Stella, the year old sleeps with us every night. When she was a kitten she'd climb up under the blankets (she still does this periodically). Now that she's bigger she usually sleeps either on my chest or my wife or sleeps in the little hammock that is made on the comforter between Angela and I. She always wakes us up too. If she is late coming to bed or goes to use the restroom, she jumps up near our pillows and puts her mouth in our ears and meows "aaaaaaaaaa" until we pat the comforter. She then jumps down to wherever your hand was and falls asleep. If your cat wants to sleep with you, you should be honored. Don't worry too much about your cat waking you up, b/c you'll quickly adjust to it. In my case, I was afraid that I was going to roll over and crush Stella, but she learned how to wake me up by putting her arms in my back if I started to roll her way. ------------------ (===)
