Started a similar thread a year or so back (maybe less) about a basketball league. However, this time I'm looking for something different.... a baseball league. Nothing too over the top, hell I haven't even picked up a bat in about a year or two (and to top it off, was never at a major league caliber level then either ), so I wasn't looking to join a league where it's required that you hit an rbi double, triple or home run every time up. Still, was recently playing a bit with some friends and figured the gurus of this board might offer some advice as to any possible leagues they might know of that play on sundays, saturdays, whatever. thanks.
lol, hell... that's all i'm looking to do really doesn't have to be organized, just a few people willing to show up every sunday or something like that. if anyone else here's interested in tossing some ball at a park around here, just reply.
what about a place with batting cages i can join on a monthly basis or something? one that does not only accept quarters
actually, if just a few people show interest, we don't have to field a 12 man team or anything just a couple of people on defense, few on offense 7, 8 people maybe total. got a friend or two that's interested in making it out every once in a while to memorial park or something kam, you down? and if anyone in this thread has some friends, let them know about it too.
#houstonrockets ootp. oh, you meant like, real baseball? where you actually hit with a bat and run bases? weirdo.
i hate watching baseball but its fun to play. i'm down!! every team needs a fat mexican to hit some homeruns!!
i got a wooden bat and an aluminum but the aluminum is pretty banged up. the wooden one seems a little small, but it might just be me that sees it that way.
yeah, bats aren't a biggie, since everyone could use just 2-3 bats or so. gloves might be tough. i've got 2 gloves, one with a gap in between seems and the other works fairly well lol don't know if i can make it out this weekend, but we can use the upcoming week for roll call and any other possible gloves out there
I've got some equipment somewhere. Few bats, balls, gloves, and bases. Used to play with friends like five or so years ago. Wouldnt mind looking for them if somebody wanted to go get together in Clear Lake to play.
I'm down. I once threw a curveball in college that hit my friend on the top of the foot. OFF THE TABLE. Seriously, let's make it happen.
man, i'd love to. my son plays ball, so my baseball playing is pretty much reduced to practicing with him. which i love!!! but i'd love to be able to play in a competitive league...not sure my schedule would allow for it.
